Tools for Teaching Content Literacy

Not what I was expecting. I had anticipated a guide with a little more detail and, to be honest, more interesting/engaging strategies. This provided me with nothing I couldn't have gotten from a quick Google search or one of my other texts.

First book in the series! Excellent teaching tool!!!! Can integrate all ideas into all subject areas.Can generate ideas to create interactive lessons with Cooperative learning. I teach both reading and art at the elementary and middle school levels. Use the tips to teach art history and elements of art and principles of design within art lessons. I use Cornell notes in conjunction with these tips with Middle school students.

Book was just what I needed. What I like least is Amazon’s Relationship with NRA. I am a principal and I think children are more important than guns.

This flip-style book is convenient to use and contains a great variety of teaching tools to add to your lessons. These tools are effective in assisting the understanding of content, and increase engagement due to the variety of tools the book contains. The slight downside of this book is how focused it is on secondary teaching, although the strategies can be easily altered for primary and intermediate grades.

Awesome book for those of us in Education who are creating lesson plans. I highly recommend it because it has many strategies you can offer students to use that will help them better understand and learn content.

Buyer beware. My book was marked used:good. Cover is torn, one page completely filled out, and scuffs over entire exterior. Such a disappointment.
