Chandelle LaVaun writes some of the best YA that I've ever read!
This is the book that started my fascination (read obsession) with Chandelle LaVaun's books! I believe I had read Ella Summers' books (all of them) and Leia Stone's Fallen Academy books first, and The Hidden Witch popped up as a recommendation on Amazon. So I read it. I was hooked immediately! I fell in love with Bettina, Jackson (Lancelot), Lennox, Dean, Warner, Trey, Genevieve, and Erin. I also adored Fred and George (not That Fred and George, but you have to love the tribute paid to THE BEST YA Fantasy ever - don't get me wrong, I love a lot of books, especially LOTR/The Hobbit, but I'm not sure I consider it YA as much, and it still didn't hook me like HP!) If you're looking for a great author who tells wonderful stories, start reading Chandelle LaVaun's books today! I started with Bettina and while waiting for her next book (Chandelle does leave the books within the same season on a cliffhanger, but resolved them by the end of the season,) went back and read Tennegan's season. Now some people say it ruined it for them to do it that way, but it didn't for me. Regardless of whether you start with The Elemental Magic series or The Academy of Magic series, they are well worth the read. Disclaimer: I wouldn't necessarily read all of Bettson's story without backtracking to Tennegan, or it is likely to ruin Tennegan for you as The Academy series answers some questions asked during The Elemental Magic series, but to read B's first book did not ruin the first season.

Good
**Warning! Cliffhanger!**This book begins season 2 of the coven, and the story of Bettina, Tegan’s (Aether witch and Priestess from season 1) best friend.Bettina had no idea magic exists, and is stunned when she is told she is a witch, and taken to a new school. There she is trained in witchcraft and weaponry, learning how best to fight the evils of the world. There are a lot of crossovers in this book, which occurs concurrently with the entire Elemental series of the Coven. There are a few scenes told from another perspective, and a number of cameo appearances. At times heartrending, and other heart pounding, it starts this new story arc with a magical bang!

Interesting
This was an interesting story, not sure why or even sure I fully understood the full concept. Chandelle wrote a mind bending story that twisted my mind

A great and enjoyable series!!!
This series was a real fingernails on a blackboard with many twists and turns. So many problems and many, many battles with ghost, witches villains and lost souls trying to possess and destroy the Coven and the lands.

Such a good series......but caution!!
First I have to say that this is the first series that I have read by this author and I am very impressed. It’s so well written and the story line is engrossing. I would (and have) recommend this series to everyone . HOWEVER...... I know this can be read as a stand alone series BUT I would highly recommend that you read the series “The Coven: Elemental Magic” FIRST. Because half way through this series you begin to realise that there is a series written before this. Which is about the main characters best friend Tagen. And throughout this series you get ALOT of spoilers of her book. I really wish I had read Tegan’s books before this! (Which I’m doing now....spoilers and all....much to my disappointment)

WOW!!! I was pulled in from the beginning! Fabulous paranormal world
WOW!!! I was pulled in from the beginning! Fabulous fantasy world, I absolutely love this series of books, the action starts straight away, and the characters are well defined early on and blossom throughout the series, you can feel the tension building between the main characters and each book always leaves you wanting more. The sub plots plus twists and turns keep you surprised and intrigued. Be warned though once you start reading this series you won’t be able to put the books down so be prepared for some binge reading

Fabulous start to a new series, can't wait for the next book!
I really loved the first series Chandelle wrote in this world and was hoping this book would be just as good. I was wrong, it was better! Not only does Chandelle introduce new characters who are feisty and fun, but she is able to link back to the previous series so you get a "behind the scenes" look at what was happening while the others were saving the day!I can't wait to see what Bettina and Jackson get up to next!

The Hidden witch 1
New exciting fast paced events with lots of twists and turns. Bettina finds out she's a witch, the gorgeous guys are also witches and she enters a whole new world, to fight monsters and demons whilst trying to understand why one of her teachers blows hot and cold with her emotions. Big twist at the end, looking forward to the next book to see how she proves her innocence
