Good stuff, easy to use, dries quickly
Been using this on and off for a few years now, lovely to use, paints ok, my oldest bit was done about 5 or 6 years ago and is still stable and looking as new. If you wrap a part used tube in some decent quality plastic and seal it all up, I've kept it going for at least a year. Sooooo much better than putty!

The way to go
I have been using acrylic glazing putties for nearly 30 years.Unlike traditional putties, they never dry out or crack - so the wood stays protected and you don’t face the terrifying challenge of repairing and re-putting a window from the top of a ladder.Great that these come in white now.I find the easiest way to use acrylic glazing putty is to use the edge (not the flat) of my putty knife to give the contour. Run this along the frame with the point touching the glass. This separates the putty you want to keep from the excess - left separately on the glass. After a few hours the putty goes chewy and you can remove the excess cleanly with a razor blade. If you have tons of time and aren’t totally confident, you can do the top and bottom first & wait for this to harden overnight before doing the sides. With previous acrylic putties I haven’t found the need for glazing nails or sprigs - have only used this one on the bench so-far, but hopefully it will be the same.

Brilliant
Times I have used old linseed oil putty and now they have this stuff. So much easier than that horrid linseed oil stuff that never ever dried or took months to dry, and then all cracked up if you did it on a hot summers day. This is super duper stuff that dries quickly and will never crack up.I bought this for my bedroom indoors as I have still got the old metal framed windows and need to scrape out the old now black gungy stuff and use this.Already sanded down and painted and with this it looks super.Fully recommend it.

Messy to use
Not as easy to use as normal putty as it’s difficult and messy if it’s your first time using it, but goes off in 24hrs so you can paint over quickly.

Brilliant
The easiest glazing putty I've ever used. It's white, sets rapidly and was paintable after a few hours.Over time it did shrink a little, leaving a couple of lumps above the pins I used.

Not good.
This stuff was meant to be rain proof in 6 hours, but it wasn't, and 5 days later it still hadn't set properly. It's too runny to easily work with, like someone else mentioned, it's like working with custard, not putty. Previously I had a tube of Unibond glazers putty which was excellent, but I thought I'd give this ago. Never again, I'll stick to the Unibond stuff, which is a much more sensible and workable consistency and sets when it says it will.
