Positively this Lechuza orchid pot now comes with special orchid compost so there’s no need to buy any and re-potting an orchid in the pot is easy. I’m also a great fan of the Lechuza assisted-watering system that seems to work well even for orchids which require little moisture.Less positively, whilst the photos of the pot look good in reality I think this pot looks too plasticky. It doesn’t have the same modern minimalist look of other Lechuza pots. As such, reflecting the aesthetic design and not its functionality, three stars.

unfortunately, this pot does not regulate the humidity very well as I now have white mold all over the poor orchid's base. I'll have to repot again into a regular pot. Waste of money.

This is brilliant. I had an orchid that really wasn't doing well. After changing to this pot and the included potting medium, it's thriving again. This has taken the guess work out of watering and I can see how happy my plant is again. Love it.

There is NOTHING to dislike about the product. I re-potted my old Orchid in the new pot a few weeks ago and I’m very pleased I did it. The regulation for the water works perfect, just stick to the instructions from the factory. And I would like to advise people NOT to re-potting the orchid wen in bloom. I have got a second orchid which I bought in February who can’t be re-potted while she is still in full bloom. I have got quite a few Lechuza self watering planters, they are worth there money.

I have an orchid I'm trying to keep alive for sentimental reasons, and thought repotting it would help. The idea is good, meaning that it doesn't get over watered, and I like the design. I'm not so sure about the potting medium, it is growing a layer of fuzzy mould on the top, which means it probably isn't draining as well as it should. It is also quite different to the the orchid compost I've used before. Having said that, my orchid didn't have much of a root system, but is now growing a new leaf, so it is still surviving. I don't think I will really know how successful this is for orchid growing until next year - if my orchid is still alive by then.
