Artifact Puzzles - Seurat Grande Jatte Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle

Very challenging puzzle. However, beware. The image has a glossy finish that produces a glare at any angle except standing directly above it in all but strong daylight conditions. In a very well-lit diningroom with an additional table lamp, I still was unable to get rid of the glare. I ended up doing the entire puzzle by shape of pieces rather than color/image.Also, the wood is thicker than it should be for these very intricate pieces. When I would do a section and then try to attach it to another section, I would often have to completely undo the section to attach it. I was disappointed because my previous experience with similar puzzles from Liberty Puzzles in Boulder, Colorado which has similar artwork had none of these problems. It did, however, provide me with hours of involvement and the cutting designs were very interesting.

This puzzle is easier than it looks due to unique connector shapes. I could go looking for connector of the same shape and color and almost always find it within a minute. That, plus the very interesting design of the shapes, plus the whimsies, makes this a very enjoyable puzzle. Great fun.

Challenging because these wood pieces are not cut in any consistent order. One may be in the shape of a dog, a man, a woman, an umbrella, etc. The edges are not straight like the usual puzzle. Normally I start with the outside edge but you can't with these wood puzzles. This is my third wood puzzle and I look forward to more.

Just spent 3 days on this lovely -- also difficult -- puzzle. Links that look like they fit have minute differences. Whimsey pieces copy characters in the painting, many of which are multiple pieces or "scenes." I especially like the subtle girl flying a kite. Enjoyed every piece-by-piece minute assembling this puzzle.

Very nice puzzle. We'll buy more from Artifact.
