From the Manufacturer Run, Bash, Barricade Just don't get bitten. Zombies have come to your town. Good thing you've seen the movies. Put on your football pads, grab your trusty slugger and give those walkers a good thrashing. Or run away, that works pretty well too. In Card of the Dead your job is to survive by whatever means you can. And remember, you don't have to be the fastest, just faster than the person next to you.

Fun QUICK card game.
Once everyone has played a few times, this can become a very quick card game to play, when Family Game Night is time restricted or when transitioning to a longer game with more players later while some of the participants are busy with other things. The game is fun to try to mess up your opponents and get them eaten by the zombie horde, is pretty easy to play and understand for kids, and works well for those who want to either play loosely or try to strategize a couple turns in the a bit. It has some quick game reversal cards/hands, but not as many as say Fluxx.

A fun game of chance for 3 to 5 players
Strictly chance card game with humorous art, in a 2 player game there are no choices to be made. This makes for a fairly boring 2 player game! For 3 to 5 players, more choices and tactics make the game considerably more entertaining.

Fun little zombies game.
I baught this game looking for a short little in between fun game. My wife and I played this when we got it. It's very simple and fun to play. My 7 year old nephew even enjoyed it. So if you need just a quick little fun party game thay takes less then 15 minutes to play then get ya some!

28 Cards Later...
If you want to experience what it's like to sacrifice your friends to buy yourself a few more minutes of life, this deceptively cartoonish survival game is just the ticket. The city is overrun with zombies and you have three options: run, fight, or try to sic the walkers surrounding you on somebody else. The last player left alive usually wins, although the "Bitten" card can change even that. This is a fun game, though it's the kind of fun that comes from knowing your chances of making it out alive are slim to none, and that anything you do to your fellow players is justified. Barricades don't always work. Escape routes can be cut off. The weapons you need to fight back can be stolen from your hand. And the zombies just. Keep. Coming.Rounds, at about 15 minutes each, are pretty freakin' intense. (Racking up survival points over three rounds is the object of the game.) This is one hell of a filler game, which, despite the wacky cartoon artwork by Loic Billiau, is designed to bring out each player's most ruthless instincts.

Pretty and Quick Filler or Family game
Very simple(5+) game that has beautiful linen finished cards we have come to expect from AEG. This is filler or family game but for what it is it plays that quick.

Great cheap, fun, quick game
Fun quick, easy to learn game. We often have "game nights" and its popular to play before the crowd shows up, or late when everybody is just brain dead and wants something stupid simple to play. Not one you can play for long or that often but it certainly has it's niche.

Do you like ZOMBIES?
Do you like ZOMBIES?! Do you like quick fun fast play?! Then this is the game for you!!**If you found this review helpful, PLEASE press the "yes" on the HELPFUL option as it helps me a lot and motivates me to write more reviews! Thank you!**Firstly the box states the game is playable with 2 players. This is false. There is a serious balance issue with the zombie cards. Each game felt like a race to get two zombies in front of your opponent, if you can accomplish this, which is fairly straight forward, you’re home free. Your opponent kind of has to use action cards just to keep themselves alive, taking the focus off of you allowing for a sprint to victory whilst player 2 is buried alive under zombies. Also with two players a lot rides on the starting hand, if you get a good one, and your opponent a worse one then you’re almost assured to get ahead and with just two, catching up can be harder than coffin nails. The game works better with 3 or more as this spreads the balance a little but the box insists 2 can play. This feels like an overstatement.Secondly, the game can feel a little dead on its feet. Simply put there isn’t a lot to do. With only one card draw per turn and more zombie type cards than any other in the deck it’s easy to burn your actions real quick thus emptying your hand. With an empty hand you’ll find yourself more often than not, drawing a zombie, sighing heavily then passing on to the next player. Maybe a few more action cards with a little bit more variety could solve this one, but as it stands your find yourself just not doing anything from turn to turn.In a quest to find a silver lining I took this to play with some younger relatives just above the recommended age on the box. They seemed to enjoy it a fair bit more than I could. The cartoonish artwork on the cards, whilst repetitive, got a big thumbs up from them and they seemed to revel trying to shiv me at every opportunity. It’s fair to say I’m a little jaded these days, zombies are just like kittens to me, people sticker them on to an unfinished or sub par product knowing it will sell anyway because BRAINSSSS! What’s equally feasible is that I’m being snobby, expecting a little too much from a zombie themed, quick play card game possibly targeted at a younger audience than myself. Yet the fact remains, I couldn’t get it to play well; there was always the lingering balance issue which becomes apparent the longer you play it. If you have your unbeating heart set on Card of the Dead then it may still suit as a filler game played briefly once in a while but if I’m stuck in a government run emergency shelter the I really hope some one brings Fluxx, Cards Against Humanity or Infernal Contraption. As far as I am concerned Card of the Dead can stay dead.

Instant Classic!
Instant Classic! This game is great to play if you only have 15-20 minutes. Its super easy to play and really fun. If you can survive all three rounds you will most likely win.

good filler card game
Quick and very light card game, I was expecting little bit more but for this price it is really OK. Rules are very easy, production quality is pretty good with great graphics on the cards. Can be played with kids with no problem.
