SoftHeat Preffered Plus Heating pad Moist/dry therapy

I bought this heatingpad by Soft Heat after the heatingpad of another major brand stopped working after less than 4 months. Needless to say I was very disappointed and decided to buy another heating pad by Soft Heat, because the one I bought previously lasted for 7 years and was the best heating pad I've ever used( it was a smaller version). This New model is even better than my old one. It truly is the best heating pad I've ever bought, it gets hot quick and really helps with my back pain and menstrual cramps, it has an automatic 1 hour shut off timer it's large enough to cover my whole back, the fabric is so soft and comfortable and it's machine washable and it has a super long cord. I am so happy with my purchase. If it lasts half as long as my last heating pad by Soft Heat I will be extremely happy!Update 7/7/22 My heating pad died after only 9 months of nightly use. I am disappointed it did not last longer like my previous Softheat heating pad.

I don't understand what has happened to these heating pads. I bought mine from Walgreens way back and use it every single day. Best heating pad Ive ever owned. I needed HOT, not just semi hot, or luke warm hot, but super HOT, almost to the burn zone to get relief from neck, shoulders and upper back from car wreck years ago. And this bad boy does it for me. It shuts off, I guess, so you don't burn up, if you fell asleep on it, like allot of people do. I wanted to buy another one, bc my puppy chewed the cord down to the wires. After reading all these TERRIBLE REVIEWS, I don't even want to buy one like this. This is a major upset, bc I have ordered at least 5 so far that do NOT get hot enough for ANYTHING. Ive orderedSun Bean with thousands of FANTASTIC REVIEWS. Got it delivered, (3 different ones from Sun Bean) did not get hot enough. And the shut off was within minutes. I can't remember the other 3 brands, so frustrated that I had to send all back but one. The one I kept is half way semi decent for other uses, not my back and neck, though. I wonder if Amazon.com is repacking all the ones sent back by customers that said they are not working, and maybe sending them back out to NEW ORDER CUSTOMERS? BECAUSE READING THESE REVIEWS THERE IS A TON OF NON-WORKING KAZ HEATING PADS.

I use a heating pad on my back and knees secondary to osteoarthritis. My heating pad of many years (SoftHeat Preferred Plus) finally died so I had to get a new one. My husband went to Wal-Mart and got one of their brands. I used it twice and it quit working. It did not provide the heat and was a stiff. A very uncomfortable heating pad. I knew I wouldn't be satisfied unless I got another SoftHeat so I went on-line to find a source and once I did, ordered it. The SoftHeat is an excellent heating pad; The cover is a very soft material that washes up well. It provides a consistent, heat with multiple levels of control. My previous one provided frequently support over approximately 15+ years. I hope this one does too.

I just sat down and ordered my 3rd SoftHeat MaxHeat Heating Pad. My first one finally failed after well-over 10 years of extensive use. I have chronic pain resulting from deep tissue crushing injuries sustained when a 7-ton forklift fell over on me. To make matters worse, I live in a state where, for most of the year, it is either raining or snowing, and anyone with arthritis knows what precipitation does for your pain. I finally got tired of moving this one from room-to-room when I went to go to bed and realized my heating pad was still on the couch. So I am ordering a second one to alleviate that problem. TRUST ME - this is the BEST heating pad I have found and I have tried many throughout the last 15 years. No other heating pad gets as warm as this one does and that deep heat makes all the difference! I also love that fact that it has a TWO HOUR SHUTOFF instead of one hour, like most of them have. I hope this review will help others like me who suffer from chronic pain and are tired of trying to find an effective heating pad. Both of the ones I have had so far - my initial and my current - work fantastic and I wouldn't be without one. Now when my new one comes I can keep one in the living room on my recliner and one in the bedroom and not have to worry about constantly transporting it back and forth. For less than $20 I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner! Best of luck!

I've only had this pad for 2 months, & the one day the controller completely failed & wouldn't do anything but blink!Now instructions say it should reset if you unplug it and wait 30 seconds, but that would not work. However I tried using the pad again after leaving it unplugged for 24 hours, & it is finally working normally again!! When it is working, this is the best heating pad I have ever had!! I have neck problems & I need a heating pad to sooth my neck whenever I'm relaxing at home. Now I need it to get pretty hot for it to do any good for my neck, & this pad really does the job!! I also really love the way this pad is completely soft and flexible without any of the plastic other pads are made with that tends to get too hard and start to crack after a while!

I like this heating pad because the length goes from one side to the other, or top to bottom of back. I have to say the only issue I have (but may be beneficial to others) is that I like to sleep on my heating pad, or lean on it while watching TV or reading) but it shuts off automatically after (I think it was 90 minutes?) a while and I have to keep turning it on again. Other than that, it's soft and works well! The heating can get really hot, I only use on the lowest while sleeping on it so it won't burn me, the next button up is best when I'm awake because this heating pad set at that level or higher could burn you unless you put a layer of a blanket or have on a sweatshirt to keep from burning yourself. It is great when you really need the heat because of excruciating pain though, just put something between the pad and you so you get the heat good, but not the burn!!!
