These cables are actually the same exact cables that my 1999 bayliner capri had installed. I'm almost sure they were original to the boat, very old and corroded. When I took apart the control box, a bunch of loose screws came out, the mechanism was barely held together. I'm so glad I decided to change out the cables, it was relatively easy to do and now the controls feel solid. Bayliner manual has a special "bayliner" part number, but these are the same brand and size as the ones in the boat. Go to bayliner parts site, find the length of the ones you need (I needed a 12' for shifter and 13' for throttle) and you're all set!

Replaced old one, much smother. Replaced old 15ft with 12Ft. Wore out faster do to loop in cable . To much friction. measured for correct size.Go to teleflex site for correct sizing of cable you need for your type of boat. Very pleased.

I ordered Teleflex control and throttle cables for my out board but received Sea Star cables instead . Sea Star looks and functions the same as Teleflex. My question is : are they made by Teleflex?
