Very reasonable coffee for a very reasonable price - BUT- see edit!
I actually have a Sage Oracle which I use most of the time but my wife finds the "proper" espresso it produces a bit OTT!So I bought a Krups Essenza Mini when they were on offer a few months ago which seemed to make reasonable "fake" espresso with the 200 free Nespresso Capsules I got in the deal. I sort of knew what to expect as I had a small Krups machine previously which I used to take with me on my travels around the UK staying in various Hotels for work and most of the time my coffee was as good or better than most of the rubbish that was being served in Hotels and bars - we are talking 15+ years ago!Having used the freebie Nespresso pods I have tried loads of different compatible varieties from various supermarkets and other coffee machine brands (which got a Which best buy and were terrible) and to be honest they mostly all ranged between dire and almost reasonable. So I spent some time searching Amazon to see if anything was getting good reviews and what was available and I ended up getting these. One of the main reasons for choosing this particular brand was the fact that although the capsule is plastic they do have a foil panel in the base to allow the easy insertion of the 3 needles used in the mechanism to inject the water. The majority of the cheaper capsules are ALL plastic and sometimes you can feel the extra resistance against the needles as you close the loading lever - more to the point they often produce just water for a second or so as you start the extraction which means that the pod has not sealed effectively.Anyway these Consuelo Classico pods arrived next day in the factory pack outer of 10 boxes and I eagerly opened them to try, expecting to be disappointed!Actually they are quite good, for the price, they load and seal properly and the flow might be considered by some as being on the slow side but I have had far slower genuine Nespresso pours. In any case you don't want the water gushing through as you will not extract all the flavours and dissolved solids from the coffee and it probably means the water has found a channel through the grounds and some of your pod will not be extracted into your drink - and when you only have 5gms in each pod you need to extract all of itI have used nearly 3 boxes so far and have not had a failure or leak on any of these pods - quite impressive compared to the other compatibles I have tried.I usually steer clear of Italian roasters as they tend to like adding a lot of Robusta combined with a fairly dark roast which always produces an excess underlying bitterness to me. However these seem to have a very acceptable rounded flavour profile certainly not too chocolaty or bitter although maybe the "with floral and fresh fruit notes" description is maybe a bit wishful! To put this in context I make a slightly larger espresso of about 60ml using 2 of the pods so each is contributing a 30ml volume. Obviously we get through the pods quite quickly - 4 pods to make 2 drinks but that does produce a pleasant, good flavoured and reasonable strength approximation to a proper espresso.I am just about to order some more! Actually I think I might order the Supremo variety as the "fruity and spicy coffee" description sounds good to me, might even mix with the Classico quite well (one of each per cup) although I note there are a number of poor reviews saying the fit is not good? Hopefully they use the same blanks as the Classico so I might risk it!Please note mine arrived with a production date of June 2020 so I was thinking they were getting a bit old - then I noticed the BBE is May 2022 so they reckon on a shelf life of 2 years which I think is stretching it a bit far!EDIT:I ordered some replacements when they were at a very advantageous price on offer - had to send them back as they were almost out of date - and don't forget they use a shelf life of 2 years! So, one might suspect that they go on offer when stocks are getting old BUT you do not know this until they arrive of course!

Weak taste
It's taste is very weak. I gave it 2 star because the pods does fit the machine well, unlike the Amazon own brand I bought last time.

Just like the real thing
They taste the same as some of the real Nespresso capsules for a lot less money.I was worried that they would not fit 100%, as I had bad experiences in the past with “compatible” capsules but these work just fine.

Cheap and cheerful
Excellent packaging, coffee pods were great in that the did not have a lot of excess going into the drip tray like others I have tried. Good flavour, and not too acidic. All in all great value for a decent coffee.

Returned to seller
I should give 1 start but the seller sent a full refund after I returned this product due to it’s low quality. Taste no good. A lot of water comes out at first which means the design of the capsules are not made to Nespresso standards? In personal experience plastic capsules don’t work well with Nespresso machines.
