A husband who makes breakfast? What more could you ask? Well, it turns out you could ask for a place for him to put the bacon grease that isn't your favorite coffee mug: bacon grease is not the Queen of Everything! I suppose it's better than putting it in an old plastic milk bottle that nearly has the bacon grease melt right through. Honestly, I would love a container much smaller than this one. I don't think I will ever need to contain 5 cups of bacon grease, although with zucchini season fast approaching, I may need something to hold the vegetable frying oil.The Stainless Steel Bacon Grease Container is adequate for my needs--oh my gosh, yes, I said adequate. It holds 5 cups, but it does not have a huge countertop footprint. The metal is thin, although I'm sure the bacon grease won't melt it, but the handle is a flat strip of metal and has a sharp edged feel. The silicone brush is a nice touch although it is very small and would be better for spreading poured grease than dipping and coating.Overall, I like the product and price. And it will keep the bacon grease out of my coffee cups.

I absolutely love this!!! Inhave always kept my bacon grease, normally I pour it into a bowl and stick it in the fridge. It was OK but I always had little burnt pieces and crud from the cooking process. Well not anymore!! This wonderful little thing has a screen top with a handle to catch everything and only the grease gets saved! It also has a regular cover for storage. I also liked that it came with a handy silicone brush that I can use for greasing my pans. If you use bacon grease for cooking, this is a very nice little set to have. Well worth it!!

Should have a top that locks on not just sit on it

This grease keeper is just what I needed. The strainer mesh is very efficient and easily cleaned. The size of the unit is really a little bigger than I would have liked but really is a great product. One of my best buys of 2021! I highly recommend.

The container was fine, but I'm missing the silicone brush that should be included. Don't see any way to reach mfg - no contact info on box, no link here to request missing part. Can you please send me the red silicone brush? I don't want to go through the hassle of returning/replacing....

Takes up little space on the counter. Cleans the grease very well with the strainer. Is nice having bacon fat to cook with. Recommend this to anyone who makes bacon and wants to have a handy way to clean an store it.

I love the bacon grease container for straining and storing the oil I use to make taco shells.

I bought it for tea leaves, not as a grease can.I've also drained my tuna in it, sieved the lumpy bits out of cat soup for a poorly puss, tipped my cottage cheese through it and rinsed plates to catch food debris for recycling.Never really sieved grease with it, though it would perfectly.Great quality, easy and hygienic to clean by hand without a dishwasher.You can slow sieve things, tip them onto the strainer and put the lid on to cover them while they drip through over time, then come back later. This is pretty handy.

The finishing of the filter is abit rough, the handle got sharp edge, beware of your fingers
