Adams Manufacturing 8530-02-3731 Quik-Fold Step Stool, Black

I bought the desert clay bistro set last year and at the time the stool was available. Not thinking I would have any use for the stool, I never bought it. However, when I was looking around for a stool, I found out that these stools are no longer being manufactured.I needed one for the kitchen. My daughter has a kid chair she uses to stand up on to wash her hands, help cook, and whatnot. I did not like that it did not have sides if she was to move her foot to the side she would fall off her current chair. I bought this in black; it looks really sleek in my kitchen with the stainless steel and black appliances. It stays flush against the counter and does not wobble. I love that there are little skid proof pieces under it so it does not move on my linoleum.My folded open easily and I have kept it open up against the counter but I like that I am able to store it if needed. Not only does my daughter use it, I jump up on it when I can’t get a good view out the windows or need to reach something from the top shelf built for a giant. I am really happy I bought this and knew the quality would be great since I own other stuff from the same company. Very easy to care for and also durable!

This stool is so easy to carry and use. It folds up so it takes up little space when not in use. I was skeptical at first, but it really is sturdy. I actually got it to use for getting into my husband's SUV. I'm short, and not too flexible, and hoisting myself into that SUV was killing my back. I used this stool for that little boost I needed to get in, then folded it flat for taking along to the next stop. I liked the convenience of this stool so much, I now keep and use it in the house.

Perfect little stool for what I was looking for... an under the desk foot stool. The sides are nice too, keeps your feet from sliding off.PROS:- Sturdy- Strong Construction- LightweightCONS:Haven't found any yet... just received. Works perfectly for purpose purchased for.NOTE:Did not intend to use as a stepping stool. For that purpose, I believe, it would not be appropriate. It is too light weight and not a steady stand... easily tipped - even at lighter weights. It is very sturdy, however, if you reach and lean, it will tip.IN SUMMARY...I love it! It is light weight and ideal for raising up my legs for better circulation when sitting at desk for long periods. They just don't make a chair 'small & short' for us little ones like they do 'big & tall' for the big guys... I've searched and searched and searched. The only other option is a tailored chair with a 1k+ price tag This is a perfect stool for that purpose... lightweight, easy fold, easy move - at a great price! As a Health Professional, I needed a professional-looking step-stool to allow shorter clients easier access to treatment tables which had no built-in steps. It's a modern, slick, professional-looking design. It folds down to less than 3" thick, easy to store under a small table in the room. The design of this stool, however, provides a unique bonus: the uprights on either side of the step form an "A-frame" when opened. They act as tactile "walls" that users can sense with their legs as they brush against them, helping to prevent the user from stepping off of the platform. Great design, affordable, and made in the USA!

good compact stool to lug around the house. folds into a compact sleek space. However, it is not very tall something I realized only after I had it delivered. I know the dimensions are mentioned et al but seeing it physically in front was a bit of a surprise... its sturdy design makes me want to keep it... with a bit of tipping on the toes my wife who is 5'3" is able to reach the topmost shelves in the kitchen

We have tall cabinets, so I had a similar stool for that job. I bought this one to go under my office desk as a foot rest. However, after realizing this stool was infinitely sturdier, this has become my kitchen height assistant. I am not small nor short and weigh...let’s just say “a lot”. My other stool, I would stand on the edges, as a I was afraid it was going to break. Not this one, strong as can be. It folds up nicely and packs away in a cabinet with ease. I dare say this is my favorite kitchen gadget.

Many of the portable small step stools I've seen on here have had pretty poor ratings. Given that I'm buying this to help my mother in and out of our van, I needed something that would not take up a lot of space in the van (so we can leave it in there all the time), but something strong enough that we wouldn't have to worry about it breaking and possibly injuring my mother.The construction on this seems pretty sturdy and it locks in the open position well. I do think the opening and closing could be smoother, but it's functional. It stores completely flat and has a textured panel where you step to improve traction with wet shoes. the bottom of the legs of the step stool also feature rubberized grip pads to aid in gripping the ground and avoid having it slide while you are stepping on it.One of the best features is that on the package it states it's made in the USA. I love to support American businesses so that was a plus in my book.I can't foresee any potential problems with this item and it seems to fit the bill for me perfectly.

This has been awesome, got it for my middle child to do dishes and we use it for so much more I can use it and their dad. We can use it when my youngest starts using the potty

A great product! Easy to collapse/ erect and move, yet feels safe. A boon in my kitchen, where the top shelves are just out of reach.

it is just what you’d expect from a plastic step stool - be sure it is opened up fully and locked in place before using - it is the extra foot I need in my kitchen!
