Happy with it
Not sure why people said it was hard to install, I replaced my 20 year fan with this one and it’s very quiet, to 1 1/2 hrs to install

Great fan
i couldn't find much information on "Tech Drive" after I'd already ordered this exhaust fan. I liked the reviews I'd read and it was an exact match to the existing hole in my ceiling. What I didn't account for was the jut out for the exhaust and the weight. I'm a relatively handy woman, but I quickly realized I'd have to hire someone. It took the installer 1.5 hours and I think he could've done it in 1 if he'd just come inside with everything he needed for the job and had asked me a question about the vent instead of spending 20 minutes searching for it. (Don't overpay. I had a couple ridiculous "minimum + hourly rate charge" quotes and could've paid 2-3x what I did). The licensed/insured company's handyman found it very simple to install from inside the attic. I was prepared with all the suggestions I'd learned from reviews, so that probably saved some time, too. The fan is so quiet you may forget to turn it off! Mine is a 5x9 bathroom and I purposely oversized the exhaust to eliminate humidity issues I was already having in my small house. It does an excellent job of clearing the steam during a shower and any residual steam on the mirror is gone within a few minutes! I'm very satisfied!

Ultra quite
Love it. I bought 2 for two bathrooms. Really like this product. Ultra quiet operation.

Well built, moves decent air & ultra quiet. But...
It's huge, deep, and has several exponents attached to it's outer box, making it almost impossible to install from below on an existing ceiling. You really need attic access, with plenty of room between joists. You also need room ABOVE the joists, as this fan is deep, as well as wide. Check your measurements. New work is no problem, just rough it in. All that being said, once it's in... it's a really nice fan. Well worth the effort.

Nice and quiet!
When my original fan died, I based this purchase on reviews/cost/sone. Installation was a slight headache. The only drawback I have with this item is the 'flapper' slams, loudly. This model is so much quieter than what is in the other room, and removes the air particulate matter, quickly.Verify your clearances and get this unit!

If your joist spacing is larger than 12" and smaller than 16". Skip this unit.
This is not old construction friendly. The only way you can install this in an existing hole is if you have exactly 12" between your joists or if you have enough room to fit the whole bracket in between two joists which is a minimum of 16". Some homes have 14" joists, which seems odd but that's what I had. The only way I could get this installed is by screwing one side into the joist and the other into a long scrap piece of 2x4. There is no other way to get this installed in an old home. If I could do it again I'd skip this unit and go with one that has a screw in bracket, had four mounting points to a single joist, or one to be dropped in from above. The good however is that this unit is extremely quiet and seems to move a good bit of air.

Very quiet
Replaced the original builder grade fan just because I hated how loud it was.The fan ways 7 lbs, so plan ahead and have a helper. It will require more support than the old one you remove. For a very experienced do it yourselfer or a pro, it will take about 2 hours. I needed attic access to install the bracket between my 24” on center trusses, to move the blown in insulation , to replace the flex duct and because the duct connector wouldn’t snap back in to the top of the housing when installed from below. You very likely have 3” flex and this requires a 4” vent.I went up and moved the insulation out of the way. I disconnected and removed the old fan. Made the hole bigger, removed the duct connecter (2 screws) and hooked up the duct and the wiring from below. I pushed the duct connecter through the hole, then the fan. Screwed the fan housing to the joist, reattached the duct connecter then went up in the attic to install the bracket and rearrange the insulation. This fan is very quiet. I’d recommend it.

Quiet
If you have a small bathroom and you need to install a ceiling exhaust fan and you want it quiet, this is the one to purchase.

It’s very quiet.
I’m very happy with this fan. We’re still renovating so it has not been used on a regular basis, but it is very quiet and I’m thinking of replacing my other fans because the noise level in comparison is significantly louder.

Works perfectly
Fan is really quite. My bathroom is only 60 sq feet. With door closed, fan on, there is litttle to no condensation on mirror after shower. Love it!!!!

Noisy
Not as quiet as advertised. Already installed and paid for the installation. Paying to get it removed and paying again to reinstall another fan is not worth it. Therefore too late to return. Not a happy customer
