Gallatin Outdoor Hat

Stetson quality, great looking, nice earth-tone sage color, (a little darker than I expected) and fits well. I wear a 7 5/8 and the 2XL for this hat fits perfectly. I would rate 5 stars, however the brim doesn't really have a shape. It's relatively flat so I will need to work on trying to shape it.

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas. We were looking at the Filson Stetson Wolf Canyon hat ($375) because of the look and feel, but because of the price point, we opted for this Stetson hat instead. He felt that at the lower price of this one that he would get more use out of it and be less worried of sweating or damaging it. While it is a little warmer material to the Wolf Canyon, we liked that this hat travels well; it can be rolled up and retain its shape (for the most part. It’s not as flat as it was when it first arrived, but overall it held its shape well). He used it for hiking/keeping the sun out of his eyes, and it withstood the humidity of Costa Rica and long plane travel. I think it looks great, does the job, and was worth it at the price we were willing to spend. Great Stetson product that will get much more use in the years to come! Seems very durable and unlikely to stain.

I've had this hat for a little while now and thought I already wrote a review but here goes again. After opening the box and seeing it in the paper it was packed in I realized I got a good deal so far. The hat was a little pushed around in the box, not a dedicated hat box. This mattered not all, the hat pushed right into shape and is a perfect fit on my head. The olive color is great, I really like the dark green on this. I like everything about this hat. The crown is easy to grab and pinch, the sides have a nice curve popular in the aussie styles now. I am not a cowboy, don't ride a horse, but this hat gets worn a lot now. Its a four season hat to me. Keeps the sun and rain out of my eyes and glasses. Michigan gets hot and muggy but this hat isn't too thick for warmer weather. Its nice to get a perfect fit, well made hat in the mail. The band is thin but classy looking. If I had to only have one cowboy hat, this would be my choice and I have a few. Even after a little while, and a more pricey purchase here and there, a nice new leather hat band later and this is still my natural go to. The cloth sweat band is always comfortable. The form stays perfect as well.

This hat is MAN-mazing. Women want me and men want to BE me. You'll feel like a shooting man star. Don't be just another doofus in a baseball cap. Let everyone know there's a little kick in your sauce. If you don't like it, you're wrong. Harness your inner Freddie Krugar and be the guy from their dreams.

Love the colo, shape and fit!

Well-packaged. Like the color. Large size fit my 7-1/4 noggin (very slightly loose, but would order LARGE again). Wider brim than the hat it replaces, but not too wide...I desire sun protection. I make this hat look damn good... beyond words good!!!

As a SoCal man living in the time of Covid I’ve begun to make regular hiking/camping trips into the wilderness East of the Los Angeles and the San Diego County areas. On these escapes I build up my immune system with generous doses of vitamin D but I’ve realized my need for adequate shade to protect myself from overexposure and sunburn. My father (a Midwest man and bald as I am) suggested there was only one name to go with in the hat biz and that was Stetson. This was my first foray into something along the lines of a cowboy hat and I tell you what... I really really like this hat. Sizing was precise, color/design perfect, and the feeling that it gives you... is by far the best part of this hat! When I wear this hat I look knowledgeable, rugged, confident, fun, and wise. If you’re looking for a hat to protect your dome piece from the sun this is that hat for you! If you want to feel more confident in the great outdoors this is the hat for you! If you want a connect to America’s historic past this is the hat for you! All in all this a great hat and you should experience it too!
