Bergin Nut Company Organic Green Lentils, 16-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6)

Excellent lentils, clean, not overdried, uniform, well-packaged, enjoyable to handle and to cook. I want to emphasize the "very clean". The previous brand was also excellent but only after a day of cleaning and sorting (threads from canvas bag, miscellaneous debris, balls of very dry dirt of comparable size that would require soaking to get rid of...). This one is excellent and totally worth the slightly higher price.

I've bought several varieties of beans from bergin nut company. I've been pleased with them all. Quality has been consistent. They are on par with eden organic in my view and a little cheaper.

I am working hard at eating lots of variety (after my seriously low-carb regimen stopped working for me to lose weight), and these are perfect. They cook quickly, are flavorful and can be used in different ways. I tend to throw several ounces into a green salad, into a cabbage soup or sometimes just warmed with organic butter or olive oil on top.

Expiration not too long.

Hopefully I can return these. The first batch were fine, but the second is completely black and covered with some weird mold? Not even going to open these.
