All the features for this crate come in handy. The folding feature, the 3 doors and large size. Very nice! Not to mention the affordable, inexpensive price. It is my first crate and I wasn't looking for any kind of a high end crate product. Just something to use for the spring, summer and fall months in my backyard for some of my cats who don't know what their safe boundaries are. Most of my cats stay in my yard, but a couple of them dart off and wander, which is dangerous and a big problem for me. Talk about a solution to a problem, I am so happy, because all of my cats love the outdoors and can't wait until winter is over to get outside and now they can.I think two adult cats fit comfortably in the crate. I purchased two water bowls that I have attached at different locations in the crate, that are crucial. If I put a bowl of water on the crate floor it just gets knocked over or gets dirty which is very bad and dangerous in hot weather.I also took out the black plastic tray, they really didn't like that too much, seemed to absorb the suns rays and heat, so I added straw and they just loved it. I use the black plastic tray as a shield from the sun to provide needed shade as necessary. So, I guess that came in handy anyway.I love the 3 doors… just in case I have to hurry and get the cats in because it's about to rain, I don't have to bend, stretch and contort myself into every position trying to get the cats out. It is so easy to get them from almost every angle of the crate. And as far and the folding feature, it was pretty easy to unfold - make sure you have a lot of space to do this.When winter rolls around, all I have to do is compost the old straw, fold and I'm ready for next year. I will be watching for rust - none so far, but these days, I don't trust a lot of metal used in products these days - so we will see.One last thing, the sliding …I don’t know what you call it the locks, hooks…whatever…for the doors, at times seem to be a little fussy, I find that I have to take a little time sliding the hooks left and right until they lock or unlock. A little bit of a pain, but what the heck. It’s no big deal. Thumbs up for this large crate cage!

I have a 115lb Rottweiler that is very comfortable inside of this kennel. On the upside that he is 2 years old and he is very well behaved inside of a kennel. He uses it to sleep in at night and to lay inside of at his own will. If this were for a puppy, it would not hold up very well, maybe a month or two. I do not recommend purchasing this for any small dog, (as this is not intended for a small dog), because they could easily hurt themselves trying to fit through the holes. Speaking of the holes, we have one on the upper portion of the kennel that is missing a wire. It was not due to a shipping error, or caused by our dog. It was out when we received the kennel and nowhere to be found in the box, so it apparently never made it into the box. The latch that closes the door was very hard to open/close to begin with because it is not set correctly, so we had to work with it and figure out an easier way of opening/closing it without breaking it. That leads to the metal that the cage it made with. It is very cheaply made and is not very sturdy. I will only keep this kennel as long as I have to. I am sure it should last me close to a year, considering I have a dog in it that is not destructive and is very calm. I did not purchase this kennel because the older one that I have had for 2 years is broken or unusable in any way. I purchased this because we got a new family member that is needing a bigger kennel now also. This one is about 1" wider and 1"longer than the one that we originally purchased and since our newest family member is a female and will be a little smaller, we chose to give her the smaller, older kennel and our male the bigger, newer kennel. All I can say is thank goodness that I did not order a smaller kennel for her of this brand. It would not have lasted with a smaller pup. I hope that this will help you in your search for a well made kennel. Remember that you get what you pay for.

I perched this for my 60lb Border collie mix. It works great for me. I’m a college student and with this kennel I know my dog will be happy and out of mischief well I’m at classes. I put a piece of wood on top of it and it is sturdy enough to double as a desk. My Border collie likes being in his kennel and doesn’t try to escape. My friend also purchased the same kennel. Here dog is not as used to being in a kennel and is a little higher-energy, but the kennel is still working really well for here because he is not destructive.However when I had to go to the ER with my Neighbor I put her high-energy Beagle mix in the kennel. When we got back the dog had bent the door open and wreaked havoc on the house.So to sum it up, this is a great kennel for a calmer dog or one that is kennel trained. It is not the kennel you want if your dog is destructive or an escape artist. But really if your dog is as ill mannered as my neighbors dog you should really work on training because even if you can fined a kennel that will holed them you'll probably have other problems like them howling when left alone in it.

After I complained about the quality of construction, the company did contact me. By the time I had contacted them(throughAmazon, neither of their emails on the brochure that accompanied the crates are valid) my husband had already opened and put it together, fixing most of the problems and it did not seem worth my time to return it. I must say one cage opened and went together with no problem. The one major complaint I have is the pans are are not very sturdy. I was putting kittens in them so it did not matter to me. If you had a larger dog it would not last long. I would not buy this cage again. You get what you pay for.
