not what I expected
I worked in a camera shop through high school and undergrad, and the quality of this bag surprised me. Materials and construction are more in line with a bag that would have retailed for $25. I'm not bitter about the price, that was 10 years ago- but considering most people don't buy camera bags every year, I think it's good to know how the market changes.Pros:It's a camera bag and the padding is movable/ removable.Sides are fairly rigid.Simple vintage designCons:Waterproof? This is not a waterproof bag. I did not expect waterproof, but I did expect a certain amount of water resistance. The photos show a small amount of overlap on the canvas when the bag closes, but the corners buckle when you close the bag so that there is about a 1 inch opening in the back two corners. A light rain would soak your equipment. I assumed it was tagged as waterproof because the canvas might be treated with a water proof coating, but judging by how much lint the bag collects, I'm guessing it's not treated. My second guess is that the inner lining is plastic and not cardboard.A waterproof bag would be submersible (usually a plastic case with "o" rings). A weather resistant bag should be weather treated fabric and have all openings sealed with a flap (preferably a flap that covers a zipper) that prevents water from seeping in. This is neither waterproof as advertised nor weather resistant as implied. This all matters very much to me because I will be spending some time with my camera running around villages in the tropics. Rain happens very suddenly and weather resistance is a must. I'm keeping this bag because I do have a weather resistant backpack that I will be carrying this bag in...and I need something with decent padding to protect it. The "ghope" has adequate padding. My advice: If you aren't buying it for weather resistance, this bag is really cute and adequate. But if you are looking for an inexpensive work around for being out in the rain, you may want to check out other options. It's not nearly as cute, but case logic has a similarly priced bag on Amazon that has a removable hood for inclement weather.

Small But Awesome!
I am IN LOVE with this bag! I have had it almost 2 years now and it still looks new. I am a VERY active fine art photography. I have used it on all my shoots from weddings to newborns. I don't know if it's water proof, but it definitely is water resistant. I shot an all day wedding in the rain and at the end I looked like a drowned rat, but the water just rolled off the bag and none of my lens were even damp. One of my favorite features are the four little brass feet. I work on-location a lot and I am constantly setting my bag down and I love that it doesn't really get dirty. The only drawback is that it isn't very big. It can hold a camera body with small lens attached and one other lens or two small ones stacked. Or three lenses and no camera body, depending on how you configure it. For weddings I have a rolling cart for all my main equipment, but for the actual ceremony and formal portraits this is the bag I use. I would HIGHLY recommend it.

love the size, but don't like the strap
I love the size of this bag - I'm not a pro, just enjoy taking pictures with an actual camera. I wanted, with my new camera, a camera case I could carry my camera in and which would also serve as a purse for ID, phone, etc. This fits the bill. The only issue I noticed is the strap, while nice, slips off my shoulder - there's no texture or anything to keep it placed on my shoulder and the fabric is very slick. I ended up cutting off the sliding portion for the shoulder due to the slickness - it works much better.Addendum: After using it, I realize the fabric is an issue, in that I have three cats and the fabric on this case is a magnet for cat hair. or any hair. Still like the size, wish it was slightly smaller, but the fabric is not a good idea and I have to look at something different. :(

Fairly unique and does the job
Really like this bag, I can fit my Canon 5D with a 50mm lens attached. I use the left over space to store the battery pack that came with the camera when I bought it. I do use the little slip inside the bag to carry my tablet, but you do have to be careful about that; it fits my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, which is 180mm wide (a little more than 7 inches), but flipping the lid of the camera bag over becomes a little difficult, in turn making it hard to shut with the magnetic buckle.Basically, if you have a regular sized iPad, it will not fit (7.31 inches; 185.7 mm)!Otherwise, it's all really nice. It feels well constructed. The strap is super simple and stitched in, so it is not detachable. There are metal rings on either side of the bag were you COULD lock in another strap, but then you'd have two straps. So I'm not really sure what those rings are for.

Awesome bag, super satisfied!
This camera bag is so perfect. For me anyways. It's definitely as others describe it; not too big, not too small. It's the perfect medium-sized bag. If you have extra camera equipment, especially some bulky stuff, I don't recommend this bag because closing the bag might be a hassle. I saw the pictures of this bag and I thought it was navy blue but indeed it is black. I love the leather snaps. The material is very great quality for the price and the strap is sturdy. I store my Canon Rebel T3, kit lens, and charger in this. There is still a lot of room. Also very stylish, you can hardly tell that it's carrying camera equipment. That's the main reason I purchased. I didnt want a bag that screamed "expensive camera in here!!!" You can also use it as a going out bag, just by taking out the insert. You're good to go! This bag is definitely worth your consideration. Also, props to the sender! Speedy shipping! Placed my order on November 8, 2014 and I received it today, November 19, 2014 :)
