Nutri-Fruit Powder Black Raspberry - 5 oz

I have purchased this product in the past, and was recently interested in getting more of it because an endoscopy revealed I have esophagitis. No symptoms. My family history just led me to ask for another endoscopy. (Last one, which was clean, was about five years ago.) I have no interest at all in taking Prilosec or Nexium. Years ago I did one week of Nexium and my digestion came to an abrupt and disgusting halt. Never again. I believe we need stomach acid to digest our food. Those drugs reduce stomach acid by an appalling 99%.I take this with some plain yogurt or in a smoothie. It's delicious. I also eat berries (organic) and when I find them on sale, I buy out the shelf and freeze them. I take Carlson's Cod Liver Oil (1 T/day). Started eating raw sauerkraut again and taking probiotics. Chew DGL. And before bed, Acid Block, which I also got here on Amazon. We'll see in another 6 months. I really want this to work and I believe it will.

This is the second time I've ordered this particular freeze-dried black raspberry powder, from NutriFruit. While I think the price is a bit high for the amount of the product you get, I believe the quality is good; and it's almost impossible to find it anywhere else. I store mine in the freezer to extend its life, and use a little bit every day in my breakfast, adding it in with the yogurt and muesli. It turns everything a deep purple color, so use small amounts until you get the hang of it. Also good when added to your favorite smoothie.

I used to love this product but this last batch... something is up... the packaging has changed from he tin-paper-foil-lined can to a plastic jar and now when I opened it... phew! Perhaps the packaging change is coincidence. Perhaps the plastic chemicals are baked in. No matter the reason, I find it hard to believe that the chemical/plastic smell is indicative of good, health promoting product. Also the taste went from awesome berry-goodness to blah-bland. I would think I simply received a bad batch if a friend that also uses it on a regular basis had not asked me if I had ordered recently and noticed a funky unhealthy smell to it. Goes without saying I have stopped using the powder and reached out to the manufacturer and seller to find out what is going on.

I purchased this product for my brother, who the day before, received a diagnosis of esophageal cancer.While I was watching the Dr Oz show that same day, he had a segment on the top supplemenations for preventing and healing cancer(s). One of the supplements that was discussed was the usage of black raspberry powder, 300mg taken 2x per day because of the importance of the anthocyanins as healing compounds. Well, I don't know if it was pre-destined that I watch the show that day or not but I immediately went online, ordered the powder and had it sent to my brother.I urged him to do whatever he could to take in additional nutritional supplementation through protein shakes, etc. I cannot trust that he is using the powder or not; though I hope so because he deserves every chance at a good fight against this insidious disease.He is currently under going 5.5 weeks of chemo-radiation then will have a few weeks off to help build up his strength and then surgery will follow. I pray that if he is using the powder then it's touted benefits kick in.

I love this Powder!!! I mix it with Maca Powder in the AM when I take my Vitamins and it makes the Maca Powder go down much easier. I take the same amount in the pm with my last vitamins of the day. Yummy!!! I will try to let you all know if I notice the benefits of increased Anti-oxidents. It's too soon to say. But it tastes really great!!! And the product came super fast. Helpful Hint: Be sure to open container very carefully or you will spill it. Also, put a little silicone packet in it (from your vitamins) as it has a tendency to stick together.

I was having digestive issues and found that Black Raspberry has been known to help. I mix it with Vanilla Yogurt and it has definately made a difference. I will continue to purchase this product.Thank you,

It seems fine as far as I can tell. However, I was surprised at how small the can was when I received it. For some reason I imagined the can to be around the size of a milk carton. It isn't even the size of a can of soda. Its quite small especially considering the cost. You might want to look around to see if there are less expensive alternatives to this though there's always the question about how pure the ingredients are for cheaper products. Considering there's no way to tell if this expensive and small amount of raspberry powder is any better, it would be worth it to search for alternatives.

As a child I loved Black Raspberry ice cream, but it's nearly impossible to find in the Southwestern US. I used two tablespoons of this powder with a basic vanilla recipe and it worked! Beautiful lush purple and that sweet and magical taste of black raspberry. It's a tiny bit expensive, but well worth it.
