Beats belts for backaches in belt line.
Easy to attach. More comfortable than a belt.

Perfect for husband
My husband works construction and loves to wear suspenders, these are the right thickness and not too tight. They stretch perfectly and are durable.

Robust but could use more elasticity
These suspenders are extremely robust. I wish they had a more stretch though - I'm finding I have more shoulder ache than I did with my previous suspenders which had more elasticity, even though these are wider and distribute the load more evenly. Overall, a good, high quality product that's tough enough for commercial construction. I just wish they were a little comfier.

Excellent
I use this product to hold my pants up, which it does admirably. Well constructed. I appreciate the lack of visible logos. Filson sells something similar for twice the price.

Welch vs Carhartt
I have tried Welch, Carhartt, and Perry button-based suspenders plus CLC and Carhartt clip-based suspenders for working around the house. My preference is for all elastic material which rules out the CLC products - based on comfort, not function. (The CLC's worked well.) I also prefer the buttons over the clips in terms of scratching my hands going into pockets. With pants that aren't jeans (aka BDUs), I was also concerned that the clips would slip off or just rip the fabric, so belt and suspenders - worst of both worlds. The buttons, or should I say studs, are not nearly as easy to apply as I thought. I had to pierce the jeans with a toothpick and make a hole for the metal stud, or the hammer would just flatten the whole mess. But I finally prevailed and fortunately I had odered two of the packages of studs. The Perry's don't require this, but you are back in belt + suspender land. So finally, for my favorite it is Welch vs Carhartt button suspenders. Similar comfort, but the Carhartt comes with one package of studs and has shiny silver buckles and contrasting brown leather.

I like the quality of the material.
I like these suspenders because they are made for providing comfort for those of us who like to keep our pants up.

Nice heavy-duty braces.
This is a nice set of braces. The elastic is heavy duty and resistant to easily stretching. It can make for difficult on and off, but once on, they will stay. It will take time to see if the elastic is long lasting. If you are over 6 feet tall, I'd recommend getting the extra long set. I'm 6'1" and the length adjusters are all the way down to the leather tabs. They work, but barely. The X in back doesn't have a leather reinforcement pad, or any pad for that matter, but may not need it because of the heaviness of the elastic.

Sturdy suspenders
These suspenders keep my upland hunting pants up. They are well made and will last for years. Elastic material is not flimsy and offers the right amount of stretch. I'm 5'-10" but had to exchange for the 54" Tall size.

Ask your wife before you buy
I love them -- but my wife says they look like seat belts in the car

Great but tall folk beware
Really heavy duty, quality suspenders! Received extra-long and they are barely long enough (5'8" with a long torso). The straps have only 2-3 inches of play left. Don't count on stretch to make up the difference either. The elastic is super stiff.
