SMART POTSoft-Sided Transplanter Plant Container, 1-Gallon, Black

I have plants in traditional solid pots (some ceramic, some plastic), and a plant in this fabric pot, all together in a low-humidity environment (40%RH). (Yes, I should probably address that with a humidifier.) But I was watering every day, especially the fabric pot, because its soil dries so fast. But on the weekend, I was detained an extra 7 hours, thus extending the watering interval to a day and a half. While my other plants did fine, the one in the fabric pot was so severely wilt-down dehydrated that it might not survive.These pots might be fine in more rainy or humid conditions, or with automated irrigation, or perhaps as liners to other pots(?)... but I will certainly not be using them in place of solid pots in an environment in which daily watering is so urgent. There is little forgiveness for delay or error.

These pots were handy as I was planting some things for cousins. Some opened as shown with a flap and others had no opening at all. I would have preferred they all had the opening flap, but used them anyhow.

The transplant angle is great if you're holding a plant to put in the ground, they just peel down. They are also good if you want to put a potted plant in a decorative planter, just need a drainage hole or a prop in the bottom of the container. Watering is easy, flows thru fast, saturates well. In hot weather you do have to check daily. Another great thing, they fold flat for storage. No more stacks of black plastic pots! I highly recommend these to any gardener.

This is not a transplanter pot, it's just a regular 1 gal pot. Smart pots are awesome products and I will use this one, but they gotta get their stuff together and sell what's advertised.

Perfect for home gardening. It is what it is... a great product.

Works well, but is difficult to maintain the pots shape. They will become misshaped as the medium settles and the flap kind lets them lean over a little bit but isn't that big of a deal.

oddly shaped. wider tops. bottom is sewn too small causing less room for the roots of my lettuce. i cut the outter flap at the bottom and put velcro to hold the flap over. now when transplanting comes itll be a bit easier!

These soft pots really work well. But you have to watch you don't forget to check and water the plant. They dry out fast

Great little pots. Easy to pot up when needed.
