Bailey Western Men's Firehole, Black, Large

First impression, it came in a box not meant for this hat. Crushable hats sometimes do come in these kinds of boxes. The beaver color has no color like the pic. Not a bit of green, all brown. At this point kind of disappointed. I have ordered large sized hats from Bailey and had to pad them. Padding doesn't work 100% though. It can fall out, or make the inner band look strange.The hat itself was made solid. Very good looking, I always like the cloth hat band, very soft and comfortable. I ended up returning it due to the small size of this particular medium size Firehole. Talk about a cool name for a hat, jokes abound am I right? I can't fault anyone for the hat not fitting, these things can be off a little and make all the difference. The way its made, I liked the structure of the thing and the way it has a nice definite shape. Could charge a lot more for the kind of quality it is, thats another reason I like Baileys stuff and like getting it from OutdoorEquipped out of NC. I look at the right margin for the other possible sellers of an item. Always good service, they actually mean it when they strive for 100% customer satisfaction. My return was taken care of quickly and efficiently even without a printer. Amazon sent me a code to show the UPS shop, done in about 30 seconds. Still happy.

Fit perfectly and looks great though it hasn't held its shape very well as the brim is lower on one side. Barely noticeable when your up on your horse but when you are at eye level it is just perceptible. when it gets older and beat up it shouldn't be an issue. Works great in the winter.

Contrary to popular belief, Portland, OR, doesn't generally get buckets of rain, but we get lots and lots of misty days and light showers. Walking in this type of weather, one needs a hat that won't discolor or wilt in the wetness. This Bailey hat is perfect for walking around town or on the trails. Fits well. Looks really great. Nice hat band. Just a great all round, and inexpensive, hat for everyday use.I had one for a couple of years and the only problem was fading from the sun (yes, the sun does occasionally shine in Portland). We left it hanging next to a southern exposure window and over the course of two years it faded quite a bit. At this price, one could buy a new one every couple of years, but we'll store our hats out of direct sunlight and I'm betting they last much longer than that.I highly recommend this hat to anyone looking for a comfortable, good looking, and weather resistant topper.

I really like to wear western styled hats and this one is one of the best I've worn. I wear it at going out, at work, fishing, hiking, etc. and it always looks outstanding. Just ordered my third Bailey Western Firehole hat... The first was taken and my last one has been an almost daily wear hat for a couple of years and isn't quite up to par anymore for wearing out so it was time for a new one.Pros: Looks great Feels great Made in USA Sized as descried, I wear a medium and it fits very well Can take abuse and still looks great The hat band is nice as well Durable A big plus is that it doesn't have those gaudy Indiana Jones pins or logos on it, even though it is somewhat like the famous screen hat.Cons: None

Great hat! I ordered for my father in law for Christmas, and he loved it. Only thing is that it was smaller than I thought...but somehow he made it fit on his head lol....overall I would suggest to order one size up, but it is a great hat!!! I recommend it:)

I have a lot of hair and it makes it impossible for me to find a hat big enough for my head AND hair. It’s such a beautiful and well-made hat. I wear it as much as I can.

Looks great but...this is a fairly soft hat. Not as firm as I’d hoped. If you put hat on as it’s supposed to fit, the top loses shape. Resting on head, maintains shape.

I love it. It fits well and I like the material.
