I also found out this hat is waterproof, after leaving it under running water for several and after wiping off the water no soak spots were left behind.

Here is a, ' You get what you pay for'. The band is hot glued on. With in the first day the band and buckle started falling off. I don't know if I am going to return it or not. My daughter want this hat so bad for Christmas and even with the band off she won't take it off.
