The Ancor Tinned Copper Lugs 8 AWG - 4/0 AWG come in a convenient 2-pack, designed for heavy-duty applications. Made from 100% annealed tinned copper, these lugs ensure maximum current flow while resisting corrosion from salt and moisture. The seamless barrel design provides exceptional strength when crimped, and the closed end design keeps cables dry and corrosion-free. UL 486A certified for safety and reliability.

Great lugs
Lugs are as expected and great price compared to local resellers.

Medium duty, not heavy duty.
Good lugs. There are better out there. Flared entry which helps greatly on installation. Wall thickness is not as thick as the heavy duty lugs I get from the best boat wire site.

Not a bad product, but not as good as advertised.
First off, my rating of 5 stars for adhesion is more attributable to my hydraulic crimper than the battery lugs. Second point I'd make is that I bought 2 of these and 2 from McMaster-Carr to do a side by side comparison. The McMC are heavier duty and slightly less.

Nice product for the price.
Good quality for diy solar battery bank. Crimping may be an issue as the die set of the crimper needs to be from 30 to 33 mm2 for 2 awg welding wire. To get 30 mm2, I set one die to 25, and the matching die to 35, that yields 30 mm2. I was able to double crimp the lugs which resulted in really good solid crimps and cold welding. There will be a bit of pinched metal on one side of the lug, just cover it with the heat shrink material, it didn't cut through the finished heat shrink.Alternative long barreled heavy duty battery lugs cost about $7 per unit which I felt were not needed for my application.

A quality product at a reasonable price
I've tried other brands that failed during normal usage Ancor has passed the test of time. Well worth the money

The verbiage "Marine grade lug" is a bit misleading
The verbiage "Marine grade lug" is a bit misleading, to my knowledge theres no spec defining this verbiage & whats on the package that these lugs come in is "Heavy Duty Lugs", which are from "Ancor, Marine grade products"With that being said, another reviewer put it best -It does what its supposed to, no better or worse than any other lug (To adequately separate/concatenate these from/to others, this is a tinned copper lug -Ideal for use on a vehicle, boat, or indoors if you felt so inclined)Its a quality product, as long as you put some quality into installing it -Price is a little on the premium side comparatively, but theyll work for what you need them to!

Real AWG sized cable lugs
Perfect fit for 4/0 lugs. There are a lot of 120mm /10mm lugs being sold as 4/0 3/8. The metric lugs simply don't fit the cable and would require significant deformation to attempt a secure fit.Using both J1127 welding cable and SGX marine cable, these fit tight. You do need a clean cut to get all strands inserted but the tapered barrel helps.Lugs are heavy bit not rediculously heavy where they are hard to crimp. I used a hammer crimper with good results, about 10 moderate force whacks with a 16 oz hammer.Look for 1” glue lined heat shrink to seal the lugs to cable, TEMco brand seems to work well.

hey ya big lug
Good fit for the wire cable, easy to get all strands into the cavity pre-crimp. Using a vise tool and heavy 5"-6.6" vise, these lugs take an amazing amount of crimp pressure without tearing open or cracking. Lug can be bent a little if you need an angle other than straight-on, using care and a vise and some heat (not too much heat, you don't want to oxidize its surface or compromise its tin coating)

Heavy Duty!!
The best you can get. Quality is excellent! I have yet to put them into service but you can see they are excellent quality and heavy duty. These will stand up to serious abuse. Ancor makes the best products.
