No assembly instructions as stated earlier. Basically the clip needs to be screwed to the overly large plastic block using the supplied too tiny screw (fail 1). However, you can't store it in the provided bag that way (fail 2).The colored rods are so tightly stored in the plastic block they had to put a warning on the package, probably because someone poked an eye out. (fail 3). they are supposed to be inserted into the bottom rods with a collar, but only go in an inch, and no other retaining mechanism, so if you happen to turn it over during your assembly, they fall out (fail 4).Plastic block is too big to go in the back of any dropped receiver hitch, so you have to slide the spring clip on in the front, then move it to the recommended position. not a big deal, but lack of instructions may frustrate city folk (Fail 5).But..once you have it attached to the ball, then put the magnetic other side behind the hitch, it does help to ensure you are very close when backing up your truck.Once you get done, you have to take everything apart cause it won't fit into the bag.. I think the tiny screw will strip out the plastic block after a few uses, and already planning on drilling out the hole and putting in a proper bolt and wingnut to fix that.
