Not As Pictured
Beware, while this antenna has worked fine for me, it IS NOT the exact design as pictured here on Amazon. One of the reasons I bought this antenna was that, as shown, it has a 'fold-over' hinge which I thought was perfect for my needs. When I received the antenna, it turned out to be slightly different in looks and design. It is rigid from top to bottom, has no hinge and does not have a plastic coating around the coil. The element however is separate and is secured by inserting into a base hole and tightening with screws. It does have the correct product number (WH-717) and appears to be genuine however at this time I'm not sure what the mix-up is. I could have retuned the antenna but rather chose to keep it as it still meets my needs as a mobile antenna.

GOOD TO GO!!!
Arrived as advertised. Although still needed some fine tuning on GMRS/MURS frequencies, still doing good on RX and TX. Good to go... too bad not anymore available as of this date June 18, 2015 or I would purchase a few more.
