Vega Rain Jacket (Black)

I bought this jacket as an all around cold-weather shell to wear as my top layer in most cases. There is no insulation on this rain jacket so you can wear it in mild weather by itself or with a sweater, etc, in the ice-cold. The large flaps over the zipper will keep the wind from seeping in and cooling down your core; this is necessary for those of us without windshields that ride in the cold rain. To top it off, it looks great with any bottoms and any motorcycle!As for fit: I'm 250 lbs and 6'1" - the 3xl leaves enough room all the way down the arms and in the chest for multiple layers and even protective gear to fit comfortable.The only downside; there is a sewn-on hood velcro'd into the neck of the jacket. If you have a thick or muscular neck; you may have to order a very large size in order to be able to fully zip this jacket around your neck and not choke. I bought a 3xl and it's not big enough in the neck with the hood stored away. You might be able to wear the hood under your helmet and then it fits just fine around the neck, but that isn't a great option for comfort for the majority of my riding. I will probably just snip it off. No big deal and nobody will be able to tell it was ever there; but remember I'm using this full-time in cold weather and not only rain.Wear safety gear under this! If anything; rain is all the more reason to be wearing extra protective gear. Those cagers have a heck of a time stopping in the rain! Even at a couple hundred bucks a spine protector, elbow, shoulder, and back plate is cheaper than a wheelchair (and arguably more stylish).Even if I didn't ride a motorcycle, I would probably still buy this or something similar as an all around rain jacket. I'm also going to use it as a snow jacket for snowmobiling.

I hate to spend alot on something that may or may not be used! Was needed once on recent trip and worked well. Runs large so easily fit over riding gear of same size.

Large. Seriously over-sized which can be good depending. I am about 5'11'', 180lbs, and the size L was way too big. I exchanged for the size M and while it is still slightly too large, even over my protective gear, it's not horribly over-sized anymore.The jacket itself is extremely well made. Really good stitching and material, extremely waterproof. It's slightly heavier than I wanted, but because of this provides a nice wind barrier as well keeping me warm in the colder rains.I would recommend this product, with the advice to go one size smaller that you would normally purchase in a jacket.

This rain jacket is reasonably priced but has lots of good features. It’s lightweight and compact, but is longer than most rain jackets so provides more protection for the lower torso. I have one for use on my motorcycle, but I bought this one for everyday use. It has a hood which was important to me, but the hood stays rolled up in the collar when it’s not being used. I’m glad I bought it.

This is great protection against the elements. I wore it through the late part of Fall and early Winter (Winter with sub-freezing temps) with a mesh armor jacket underneath and was plenty warm. This warmth is because it won't breathe. Not a big deal but yet not something I will be able to wear in Summer rain because then I'll get just as wet with sweat.

Impressed by the quality and style of this jacket. Needed something that was longer length and not bulky. Sizing is based on being oversized to accommodate layering underneath. I'm a woman who weighs 125 pounds and 5'3" and the xxsmall fits perfect. Great buy and very happy.

Went to Americade bike week in Lake George, New York the 1st week in June ,and got caught in the rain coming home. The jacket worked great,kept me dry. It worked better than I could have imagined. Would buy again if needed.

Light weight and oversized length-wise, which I like so my bum doesn't get wet when I'm working in the rain. They are designed to be worn over riding gear or other thick clothing, so order a size smaller than what you usually wear if your planning on wearing it over thin clothing like t-shirts. I ordered a size smaller and it's still roomy, which I like.

Received my jacket a full week ahead of schedule! Very nicely made, welded seams, waterproof and comfortably long. I ordered a medium but a small was sent, just as well because the small was definitely a medium in fit. I wear it on my motorcycle hence the screaming bright colour, lots of visibility to other road users. Haven't tried the built-in hood yet but it will fit under a helmet. Very good price for this quality. Definitely recommend this purchase.
