My registered dietician recommended this product specifically because of the ratio of the 1000 in this oil of dha. I tend to get fish burps with many fish oil products, but not with this one! It was pricey and I happened to find another product at whole foods with similar ratio so I will not be repurchasing at this time, but great product!

I found customer service and the quality of the Vital Oils 1000 to be excellent. The ratio of DHA to EPA is 3/1 (750/250 mg) is good and the total concentration per capsule is ideal I would recommend this product. Great fish oil supplement from a great company!
I came across this product and company a few years ago as it was approved by Consumerlab.com (a science based company that independently tests the purity and accuracy of various healthcare products and supplements); I am a member of consumer lab.com because it is important to me to know that the supplements I buy are first SAFE & PURE and second to know that I'm really getting what I'm paying for. Vitaloils1000 have exceeded all of my expectations....fish oil is often one of those supplements that you really don't realize it's working until you stop taking it for a while which was my experience. Once I stopped taking vitaloils1000 for a period of time, I started to develop joint pain in my hip due to various exercises (I work out regularly...strength training and running just to stay healthy...not because I'm a body builder or anything like that). I went to my doctor and the pain was diagnosed as bursitis in my hip (I suffered with the pain for about 3 months before going to the doctor), with that said, my doc prescribed a steroid for me (can't remember the name). However, I did not get this prescription filled; instead, that's when I realized that I had not been taking my vitaloils1000 fish oil supplement for a few months and at that time I decided to place an order to see if it would help with this pain (in a more natural way rather than taking a steroid) and sure enough....it did the trick! Within a few weeks, my bursitis pain was gone....went to a follow up visit with my doc and the bursitis itself was gone! I shared all of that because I value reviews that are honest and that provides real experiences from real people, and hopefully, this review will help someone make a more informed decision if he/she is thinking of trying this product. I am aware that not all supplements will provide the same results for all people, but if you're thinking about trying vitaloils1000, don't be afraid....it's a great fish oil product from a great company. Unparalleled quality - worth the cost!
A friend of mine in the pharmaceutical industry told me that most fish oil pills bought in the supermarket are not fresh and therefore have already oxidized (meaning they can cause more harm than good). He recommended these fish oil pills to me since they are fresh, pure, and high in concentration of DHA and EPA with no fillers.When I take them regularly, I notice the effect in my skin and eyes most of all (no more dryness!). Definitely cost effective when you consider the cost of wild caught salmon these days.
