200 Embroidered Flowers: Hand embroidery stitches and projects for flowers, leaves and foliage Kindle Edition

I hate to critique anyone's hard work and I'm sure a lot of time and effort went into the production of this book but I have to be honest I am very VERY disappointed. With all the amazing stitches out there (over 200) only seven are presented here in this book and those would include, back stitch, whipped back, variated back, satin, straight , stem, and french knot. ALL 200 flowers within this book are made from these 7 stitches only. Not one flower or leaf was made or created from a basic chain stitch or lazy Daisy stitch, fern, fly or cretan stitch. These are all typical stitches you would see used for leaves or flowers. Not one flower was created from any kind of filler stitches ( which is what I was most excited and anticipated) :( I just expected more of a design option for flowers than ( literally ) satin stitches for 200 flowers. I also must address the fact that all flowers presented are old school at best. Stuff my grandma used to make and put on everything. There's no modern contemporary flowers or motif's to reflect the popular styles of present day design. I only give it 2 stars for the time and effort put into the making of this book and that should be validated. As stated, VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!

I just recently picked embroidery back up after learning in college. I got this book for inspiration and to help me get reacquainted with embroidery. The projects in this book are fun and great for beginners and experienced fiber artists. And the best part is that the author has many YouTube videos, including one that covers the basic stitches and projects not included in this book. I'd recommend this to anyone that really wants to learn modern embroidery.

What a gem! I can imagine using this for reference making bouquets or adding interest with foliage and flowers to other pieces. What's great is all the patterns are super simple to draw yourself so it's not really necessary to trace each page like a book of patterns. I'd recommend this for any skill level. The DMC color numbers are extremely helpful especially for all the shades of green!

This book is great for the beginner and fun for all embroiderers! It gives simple instruction and is full of colorful floral designs! Use this for fun or as building blocks for your next embroidery pieces! The creator is really hands on so if you like the book, follow her on Instagram for tips and extra fun!

My book arrived today. I have already been thru every page! The book is well organized and has clear instructions for stitching. This book has given me so many ideas that I have can not wait to utilize this book. This book will be a great reference tool for years to come!

You get embroidery instructions, supply list, 200 little floral patterns in one beautifully illustrated book (which you can combine to create even more floral patterns) and you get to put all the skills you learned to use with the projects at the end of the book. It's a must-have for any stitcher and makes an amazing gift for any level embroiderer.

Worth it's weight in gold! This is by far the best embroidery book in my collection. Illustrations are incredibly detailed, easy step-by-step instructions, simple color guides, and simply beautiful florals all around. Having this book at hand makes embroidering florals a breeze; as opposed to having to search through thousands of online templates in my phone. Can't wait for a 2nd edition!

As a newbie to the world of Hand Embroidery, I saw this book and as Amazon let you look before you buy, I couldn't resist!!This book is absolutely STUNNING!!!! For me who loves Nature and Botany, then this has to be on your 'to buy' list - it definitely wont disappoint, I guarantee!!!!!!5 stars very well deserved!!!!

Love these designs. Kristen is an expert on embroidery. I really enjoy following her on Instagram and can’t wait to try my hand at some of these lovely flowers.

Great book lots of designs. Designs are small but can be photocopied larger I guess. Good .

i love this book so much, it has great practice projects and seeing the quality of the book and the work is great to know what you can achieve
