I am very happy with this vise.
This is a very good product. If it was priced hundreds more I don't imagine it being much better. The only issue is that there is one spot when turning the top that drags. I will take it apart and find the spot and fix it. Still a great deal. Update: due to my negligence, I didn't notice the brake on the side of the ball. It had been tightened just enough to pick up a slight high spot on the inner area that the brake screw contacts. After a slight turn of the brake screw counter-clockwise, the top of the vice turns freely. Yeah!

will not buy anything else from this buyer
the vise was ok, as whar you would expect for the money, swivels fine. however the pins were not shipped or the allen wrench. no way to use it, after 2 emails they said send the whole thing back and we will send another one? still no pins or allen wrench. not exactly happy

Excellent Engraving Vise
I did lot of research before I bought this engraving vise. This is excellent vise all metal construction. Very smooth operation. It is made in India not China. I have other vises made in India and they are all good. Only think that would make this vise better would be if It's come with attachments. It only comes with 12 5/32nd pins but it is still better than Chinese vises that comes with attachments. I highly recommend this vise.

Not bad. It sure isn't a GRS model but it works for the beginning hobbyist.

Value, quality will last
Nice even if it's inexpensive. Fluid adjustments, solid. Workhorse. Considering, metal engraving would have to be my living to justify the more expensive jewellery models. Couldn't be happier

Missing Pins and vise key! Rip off!

Does not spin freely
OK for a entry level budget item, but does not turn easily. Has areas that turn well, then binds up. Makes it hard to engrave well.

I have never used an expensive ball vice. But, I find this one to be solid, well made and it works just fine. It was exactly what I was looking for.

This is definitely not a GRS block, so don't expect that quality at this price.
The block has the necessary weight, is reasonably well machined: just needs to be dismantled, cleaned and oiled. The hard rubber base is not hard enough, so the ball does not move easily- even when lubricated with a wood working glide compound. Will turn a hardwood base and see if there's an improvement. This is a reasonable, functional tool at a reasonable price, adequate unless one is a professional engraver.

works as intended and the cheapest version of this type of tool. The base is sticky and makes it hard to rotate ball. Will replace base with wood ring or something
