Problems, problems, problems!!!
I have loved every book of Kimberly Loth's that I've read, and SKYE is no exception. You just can't go wrong with this author. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review, but I also purchased a book so that I would have an "official" copy. The book starts out with Skye discovering that she has turned into a black dragon and freaking out. Her problem? Only dragon kings are black. Dragon kings start out as royal dragons that become king when the old king dies - she is sea dragon. Dragon kings are male - she is not. There is usually only one dragon king at a time, and currently that is Sid, her former boyfriend. She would know if or when Sid died, because of the loyalty seal she gave him to help secure his position as the new king. If Sid dies, she dies. No wonder she is freaking out.Skye decides she needs to find Everett, the oldest living dragon who knows most everything about dragon history. Everett was the dragon that solved her first problem but at a cost. Skye had previously sealed herself to Sid, meaning she would love no one else for the rest of her life. Everett was able to remove the seal, but it left a huge hole in her heart which made her incapable of loving anyone that way again.Another worry was if the prophecy about the three dragon kings was coming true. If so, then a full scale war was about to erupt between dragons, humans, and even among the various dragon races that could keep her busy for years - or hundreds of years. As she was flying towards Everett's, she realized this might be her only chance to say goodbye to Rowan. Rowan was the only one that had been there to comfort her about her loss of Sid. She also knew Rowan was madly in love with her and wouldn't want her to leave - but she owed him an explanation before she disappeared from his life. You'll have to read SKYE for the rest of the story. Lots of secrets, lots of action, lots of everything. Truly enjoyable!

Another Great Installment In The Series
Skye – Book 4After finishing book 3, I dove directly into this story. While the first 3 books in the series were sequential, this book actually covers time across more than one of the previous books. Not only do we find out why Skye and Rowan have been missing, but we learn the answers to a number of “loose threads” that weren’t super apparent as concepts that hadn’t been fleshed out. So many things that seemed unimportant or just periphery items are explained and the picture zooms out to show us the whole deal (or pretty close to it). The dragons are heading to war, and we find out why and mostly who is on which sides. I zoomed through the story, not able to devour it fast enough. And then the story ended – and I wanted the next installment **now**. ~lol~ I am eagerly looking forward to the 5th story in the series.

A huge twist
Big things happen. And for this tiny world created by Kimberly loth, bug things come dragon sized. This book was a huge cliffhanger for the series. Will the woodland dragons survive, will the council eventually be overthrown, who will in this war, the arctic dragons and canyon dragons? The royal, sea, river, woodland, and underground dragons? Or will the humans rise to the top this new and mysterious weapon? Finally the last book and all awnsers will be revealed.

Every Bit as Good as the Previous Books in the Series
This book is another home run for Kimberly Loth's Dragon King series. The twists in this book were totally unexpected, but also held my interest completely. I have read the other books in the series (Obsidian, Aspen, and Valentine), and was eagerly waiting for the next. Skye did not disappoint. If this is the first of Loth's books that you are reading, I can pretty much guarantee that you will be coming back for more. I read The Thorn Chronicles first, which showed me Loth's ability as a writer. I highly suggest that anyone who reads this book also read the previous books in the series in order to build continuity. Enjoy!

Skye!
Oh My Gosh! I think this just became my favorite book in the whole series! Skye and Rowan have been in my top favorite characters since they were introduced, but knowing everything I know now, they have no competition. They they are the best and so is this book! I wish I could give it 100 star review!

Another great novel in the Dragon Kings series
Another great novel in the Dragon Kings series. Skye will not disappoint. It take place basically at the same time as the previous book, Valentine. Answers the greatest question, "What happened to Rowan?!" The friendship continues to grow between Skye and Rowan, it's so beautiful.Of course another cliffhanger!Wonderful read, Kimberly!

Holy cow!
At first I didn’t want to know what Skye went through but it put everything into perspective. The trials they had to overcome were hard and amazing! Great book.

I so love this series. I started to read them recently and had to buy them all as they are very captivating. I just love the paths that the story takes. It keeps me on the edge of my seat until i have finished the book. I recommend this series to anyone who loves dragons, adventure, intrigue, and romance, just to name a few of the highlights.
