Security ystem install.
Went to setup my new security system That I received today. All went well until the unit was powered up. The nvr and monitor came on but the cameras are not visible. No worries...I called the 24/7/365 tech support number only to get a recording informing me that I would need to send them an email for support. What a disappointment!!! What sealed the deal for me with this purchase was the repetitive regurgitation of 24/7/365. Buyers Beware. I will update this post as soon as I get this resolved.1/29/19 UPDATE: Changed the overall rating from a one to a three star for tech supports persistence. After five days of playing tag with tech support all eight of my cameras are functioning. Tech support needs some tweaking but with that said they seem to be sincere in providing quality support. It's late now but tomorrow I will attempt to get the network and cell setup for alerts and viewing remotely. Keeping my fingers crossed. Will update this review after the system is totally functional.2/4/2019 Well getting this system online has not gone as easily as hoped. The instructions are vague to not existant. I have not contacted tech support for assistance just tring to resolve on my own. For the most part it is functioning and I can monitor from a remote locate, get alerts and with limited feature access make adjustments to the system. As a whole and for the price I would probably make the same purchase again.

You need to read this for set-up
Initially I was going to give this a terrible review. I've set up similar systems before but couldn't get this one working. Everything was set-up correctly but I was getting no video from the cameras. Below is how I got this system working and I hope it works for you if you have the same problem.1. Hook everything up, make sure the cameras are getting power (green light on connector for camera)2. (After going through all the setup) Right click the mouse. A menu of options pops up. Left click the top choice. This brings up the option to "manual add". Click on this.3. You are now in a window divided into 2 boxes. On the bottom box click to check-mark all the items listed. Then click the option to delete them.4. Leave the manual add window by right clicking and choosing "up window" (or whatever weird translation they have).5. All the 4 or 6 or whatever number of split-screens you have should now have "+" symbols on them. Click on one of the "+" symbols. It will bring up a list (basically of the cameras hooked to the system).6. Checkmark one the items listed and then click "add camera".7. Repeat this for each of the blank split-screens, but check-marking a different camera each time. This is what I had to do. I hooked this system up for someone else so I don't remember the exact wording of each choice but I think it's enough to get you through it. I was really tearing my hair out in frustration because usually these are plug and play systems and the packaged manual is USELESS!I tried calling tech support but got a canned voice telling me to email them. They did call me back in the evening (after I had figured it out) and seemed genuinely concerned. Why these companies don't bother to tell you in the manual how to work the system is beyond me. Why not even have a webpage giving step by step instructions????Now that it's running it seems to work ok and the equipment seems sturdy enough. If you want something frustration-free you should probably just spend the extra money for something better. If you're cheap and willing to potentially spend extra hours fussing over it, go for it.

So far, so great!
Installed in a shop to prevent theft. Overall installation was easy. UI isn't my favorite but I've used other camera systems and unless you're paying thousands of dollars IMO they are all equally meh. Set up was pretty straight forward, I was able to set up 7 cameras to record 24/7 on a 2TB HDD with the best quality. Saves about 13-15 days then rewrites the older info. Hard coded with a static IP address for quick access and using the Danale App (meh but they all are) I can access the cams and review recorded videos as well. Overall very happy with the system and you really can't beat the price. More recently had a camera die on me and was not able to get it back up and running (possible power issue?) but contacted Tech Support and Melody was able to get me squared away and provide great customer service. Read other reviews before purchasing and knew what I was getting into, but very happy for the price and ease of setup. Will update if anything changes

Good product, ignore the bad reviews. Im an IT professional, and these cameras are fine.
Everything was as expected and seems to be competitive in pricing. Documentation is basic, and it took a bit to learn how to add the cameras to the nvr. Once I figured this out the rest was a breeze. As for the cellular clients, seem to work flawlessly on mac and iphones/ & android, haven't tried on windows yet. The app is vety basic no thrills but easy to use for the beginner. I was able to figure out how to share it with 'friends' so it can be on more than one device. Tech support is by email. Very responsive (within 24hours) tech support phone number provided answers with message to email. The later im not thrilled about. The system came with one out of 8 cameras that was not working. Currently awaiting shipment confirmation of this one. If critical, I suggest buying a spare or two.

Seemingly good product with some difficulties
We purchased this months ago and set it up around our business building and grounds. All appearances are of a quality product. Picture is good. Set up is a bit of a difficult proposition. We have had lots of issues trying to make it work right. Tech support is helpful but located overseas making connecting with them during normal business hours very difficult. We continuously have issues with their tech support returning calls in the middle of the night (1-2:00 a.m.) even though we tell them every time that we are asleep and not at work during that time. Months later, we are still having troubles with it.
