Haha this dog cooling mat is absolutely perfect, except the dog I bought it for won’t get on it!It’s a wee bit smaller than the measurements describe (I bought the XL size) but not by too much so it’s not a big complaint.As soon as you open the packaging and touch the mat you immediately feel the cooling affect, I think it’s filled with a gel like substance, probably similar to what’s used inside the beauty gel masks. Regardless it’s very affective and does retain its coolness even in the heat.It’s easy to clean (just a literal wipe over) and easily transportable.It’s just a shame that my Akita will not go near it, she has shunned it completely (and I bought it due to her being a long haired dog and constantly looking for shade when it’s hot.My Staffordshire bull terrier however has taken to it and seems to enjoy it. She spent a lot of yesterday with us in the garden lying on the mat and relaxing.I think the concept is a brilliant one for caring dog owners who consider the impact that hot days can have upon their pet, but like any product aimed at animals- you can’t guarantee that they will want to use it, or at least not the pet it was aimed at. Lol!

We have quite a few cool mats in our house. The pets love them and my kids do too, they each have one in their beds and it does really help on hot nights, my dog and sometimes my cats sleep on them too. They don’t work on really hot days/nights, as in well over twenty degrees but they really are brilliant and well worth having.Some do work better than others and this one seems pretty good, a lot also say they are extra large but are actually quite small, but this one really is large. It would suit a big dog, or a child!

Bought this for my ‘old boy’. A 12 year old Borador, as he vas really struggling in the heat. It took him a couple of days to get used to it but he now sleeps on it every night. Have tried it myself and it has a cooling effect. Some parts of the mat cools better than others. Too early to comment on the quality, but it’s quite heavy (3kg).

Nice cool mat for my cat unfortunately she doesn’t like it and won’t lie on it. Hopefully she will change her mind.

My favourite daughter gets hot and chooses to lie in the most awkward places to keep cool.Within seconds of opening the parcel, she had planted all ten nipples on the mat.I bought this to take on holiday with us, as it can get to 40 degrees c in the summer whee we go and pooch struggles to keep cool. Chuffed we had a chance to test it in the Uk before we lug it abroad!It’s quite heavy but that means it doesn’t move around. When folded I can cram it in the fridge if I take all my husband’s beer out - well cold pooch is more important than cold beer!The instructions are hilarious and just harp on about keeping your dog’s nails clipped- I reckon these mats can tear with an over excited pooch and sharp claws...Long story short- does what it says on the tin, and doesn’t break the bank.

I thought this product was great how wrong was I! It ripped after a day so had to bin for safety reasons waste of money i was hoping this would help my boy who's suffering with illness at the minute but back to square one which is sad

Brought this for our 70kg neo mastiff X and he took to it like a...err... Hot person to ice! Due to his size and flub he gets super hot when it's above 20c and this does this job of helping cool him down. We put it at the bottom of the bed and it's become his choice of bed at night (he will fall on us during the night once the temperature goes down, good job the spare room bed is comfy is all I can say). After a walk I can place it down and he be on it in seconds, so clearly he sees the benefit. I tried it myself when it was hot and it keeps cool for quite awhile

Very good product once dog got used to it. Just check the measurements before buying - this one in xl is a lot bigger than some others, the reason I chose it.
