A great starting point for your home HD network !
So you have a few Hi-Def TV's around the house, and you get to thinking: "Wouldn't it be nice if I could send the output of my Roku box, for example, to all of them?". In the old days, this was a simple matter when TV signals were carried over an analog RF cable. Just run a cable from the source into an amplified splitter or distribution box, and then run cables from the splitter to your tv's. Instant home tv network...instant gratification.Well, it's not that easy anymore.... HDTV signals are digital signals, and like most other types of digital communications, it is necessary for devices to be able to agree on how to communicate. In digital communications this is known as the "handshake". This can be further complicated, when you have several TVs ranging in age, (and hence software revisions), as I do, including one that goes back to the early days of HDTV (with no internal ATSC tuner). But then you discover that there are actually devices like the old analog distribution splitters, only made for HDTV, and so you decide to buy one. You run new HDMI cables to all the sets and plug everything in.What happens next, comes down to a matter of luck, or perhaps whether or not the gods of HD are smiling upon you. For most people, judging by the experiences I have read about on internet message boards, it's mostly bad luck. If you have all new TVs, it might just work out perfectly on the first try. But if like me, you have one HDTV that's about 10 years old, another that's about 6, and another that's less than a year old, you could be in for some frustrations: flashing video, no video, blue or purple screens with a message saying you have an HDCP error, or unauthorized device, weird colors, reproduction in only standard definition, choppy sound, and many other types of Hi-Def horrors. What to do? How to troubleshoot? You might simply have some bad connections, or cheap unreliable cables, cables exceeding 50 ft. (not advisable), or multi-generational compatibility standards for HDTV that your particular splitter can't deal with, or just maybe the splitter you bought is simply a cheap piece of junk.Desperate for advice, you turn to the internet, where you'll find among other things people advising you to use shorter cables, better quality cables, or to unplug everything and restart all the devices in some magical order, and many other well intended pieces of advice that may result in more money spent with hours of trial and error, and still have all your efforts end up being all for naught. Now, ask me how I know all this....lol.There are a lot of cheap HDTV distribution amps/splitters that you can get for $25-$35. Some may work just fine for your situation. Others won't. How will you know? Answer: You CAN'T know, and no one can tell you for sure if any particular box is going to work for you. There are simply too many variables. Accordingly, you would be well advised to buy from Amazon or the Amazon Marketplace, because of their stellar return policy and procedure. After some frustrating wasted time, I came across a product offered through Amazon's Marketplace, from a company called "Ace Deal". In the description of their splitter, it stated, among other things: "No more HDCP errors". That got my attention. Because at that point, I thought I was going to have to shell out several hundred dollars to buy one of those "professional distribution boxes". So I contacted them, via email, and communicated with a very helpful and kind person by the name of "Kathy", who told me that she couldn't guarantee that their splitter would work in every case, or guarantee that it would eliminate my HDCP errors, but that their customers have had good luck with them, and in any event, if it didn't work for me, I could return it for a full refund. Even though I was not that optimistic, I appreciated their honest way of doing business, and for around $44 ordered the "Panlong" splitter, which they shipped to me very quickly, with no additional shipping charges.Plugged it in last week, and WOW! You really can get this idea to work with the right box! All my TV's are receiving beautiful Hi-Def picture and sound!Remember though, this box may or may not work for you, but with the multitude of cheaper boxes available, I recommend that you at least start here, rather than with cheaper ones like I did. For an additional 10 or 15 bucks over the price of one of the cheaper units, you could save yourself a ton of frustration and time. Fast shipping, and nice people at Ace Deal, to deal with, are a bonus!Remember a couple of other things too: Any splitter box like this is going to supply picture and sound to all the sets according to the needs of the lowest common denominator. Don't expect 1080i on one set and 720p on another. If you have one set, as an example, that is only capable of communicating at 720p, that will be the handshake agreed upon by the source, the splitter, and the other sets, regardless of their higher capabilities. Also, I have read a lot negative reviews about HD devices bought on Amazon and elsewhere. Many are attributable to people not really understanding what they are buying. For example, this is not a switch. A switch will allow you to select which TV you send the signal to, so that only one will work at a time. Nor can you use this device to switch from multiple input source signals to one TV. This device makes the signal available from one source, to all sets simultaneously, whether all sets are turned on or not. This also means that this device will show the same content to each TV. Don't buy this and expect that each TV will be able to watch something different. Don't laugh....I've read comments indicating that that's what some people were expecting when they bought other splitters.Good luck with your household HDTV network!

Worked at first, then it didn't
I bought this to connect an iPad to a touch-tv in a classroom. It worked the first few times, and then it didn't anymore. A QR code would show on the tv screen when I plugged it in. The code, when scanned, took me to an app. I tried my iPhone too, and the same thing happened. I asked our tech support person for help and he fiddled around with it for awhile. I may not recall this all correctly, but I think he said that the cord firmware needed to be updated but he couldn't get the update to work. He also said something about an iOS update possibly being the cause for the incompatibility. He said the solution would be a newer version of the cord.

Mediabridge is truly one of the BEST for the Money!!
I did a comparison test. Here are the results...COMPARISONS BETWEEN INFIGEAR AND MEDIABRIDGE AND FREEPORT OPPO HDMI CABLESI tested the InfiGear HDMI Cable against the Mediabridge, and the Freeport cable that came with my OPPO Blu-Ray Player.RESULTSThe Freeport cable that came with the OPPO Blu-Ray Player is a tad thicker than the Mediabridge and the InfiGear cables. And only the Freeport has those Ferrite Bead cylinders near the ends that reduce EM and RF interference. It was no surprise then that the OPPO Freeport cable was a bit better than the InfiGear, but only by about 1%. The picture through the OPPO cable had 1% more detail and 1% more color. The picture through the InfiGear was identical to the picture through the Mediabridge however.HOW I TESTEDBoth my receiver and my OPPO Blu-Ray player have two HDMI outputs, and my LG HDTV has two HDMI inputs, so I was able to simply use the remote to switch back and forth from one Input to the other.THE DISCS I USED FOR TESTINGI decided to use a DVD that has a bad picture when played on my old but good Sony Carousel DVD Player, and a Blu-Ray with a great picture on my new OPPO Blu-Ray player. For the bad picture, I paused a scene from season 3 of Lost In Space where Will and his mom are standing in the doorway of the Jupiter 2 talking. The scene had humans for skin tones (the most difficult color to get right). The obvious angles of the doorway (another area of difficulty). And other things and details I am familiar with. I expected the better cable to help a little, but there was no difference in picture quality on this DVD through any of the three cables. For the good picture I paused a scene from Charlie St. Cloud where he's talking with his brother at the beginning of the movie, and Charlie is wearing a medal on a ribbon with obvious angles. So again, human faces and hair, and angles, and other things and details that test a picture well.MY EQUIPMENT55" LG 55L W5600 HDTVOPPO BDP-93 3D Blu-Ray PlayerSony DVD Carousel DVP-NC80V

Don’t waste your money!
DID NOT WORK FROM THE START! Don’t bother wasting your time with this product. Plug and play did not work with my iPhone. Wanted me to scan and download an app, which I did, but seemed to do nothing for connectivity. I gave this a good go and ended up purchasing the apple product which worked as soon as I connected.Spend a little extra and do not waste your time on this.

No funciona
Al conectarlo me aparece un código QR, y me manda a la tienda virtual para bajar una aplicación que al hacerlo tampoco se proyecta la imagen de mi dispositivo en la pantalla. No me funciona.
