Love this book. I've been playing Bridge for about five years. Mr. Lawrence is a great Bridge teacher and writer. (I bought the book before it was on Amazon). Clear writing and examples. Helps with logic and what's going on at the Bridge table. Is more up to date than a lot of older instruction books which is helpful since Bridge keeps evolving with new conventions and methods.

Good for advanced intermediate and higher players. Easy to read, with very good examples. I guarantee an aspiring player will get his money's worth, particularly if his frequent partners also read it.

I’m an advanced intermediate player and love all Mike Lawrence books. Very good explanations as to what the options are and how to exercise good judgement, mostly as to bidding. Many great tips and easy to understand.

Good. clear examples and advice, but somewhat skimpy.I would have liked tosee more examples that included all four hands.

This book features ruminations by Lawrence on assorted bridge topics. Not his best book, but it is a good one.

Definitely my favorite book

Gift for my husband. He loved it.

I have most of Mike's books, but this is not one of his best.It spends a lot of time on his previously-published ideas - such as Drury.It also includes conventions to follow - which I have already discarded - and conventions to avoid - which I've already avoided. No new, worthwhile conventions.There are a few good ideas in it, but many other books provide better value.

Great book lots of really useful info

Have his Card Combinations which is great (and Dynamic Defense as well) so bought this 2nd Judgment. Didn’t find anything I wouldn’t know and believe the book is for low intermediate players. For complicated “guessing” games stick to Card Combinations
