⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic MIDI Controller for Beginners and Pros Alike I recently purchased the Nektar SE49 USB MIDI Keyboard Controller, and it has quickly become an essential part of my home studio setup. The build quality is impressive, especially considering the affordable price. The keys feel responsive and comfortable to play, offering a good balance between weight and sensitivity. One of the standout features of this controller is the seamless integration with DAWs. Setting it up with my software was a breeze, and the dedicated controls for transport, volume, and other parameters work flawlessly right out of the box. The Nektar DAW integration is a huge time-saver, allowing me to focus more on making music rather than fiddling with settings. For a 49-key controller, the SE49 is compact and lightweight, making it easy to transport if needed. It’s perfect for anyone looking for a reliable and versatile MIDI controller, whether you're just starting out or looking to expand your existing setup. I have a home studio, using Studio One DAW and use this keyboard to add additional instruments such as piano, strings and persussion...works well connecting to the PC using the USB cable which is included. Good additional controllers for intensity and volume etc. Very happy with this purchase.

Good: It works, just works. Bad: Bitwig DAW (which I like as a software) is severely limited and is pricey to unlock. I tried to get into this pre internet, bought a few books and got nowhere. Twenty plus years later and off work for a bit, I decided to dust off the old midi keyboard to find time and more specifically Windows had left it far far behind, so bought myself the SE49. One month later and I have gone straight down the Software Synth Rabbit hole. Trying to recreate all the classic songs and sounds, from the 70s and early 80s. The keyboard is all I need for my limited skill set, everything you wish is out there for free, I was hoping for a synthesiser and now have more than I can wave a stick at! With Youtube as a guide, you will soon be up and running. It will even give you keyboard lessons and teach you how to play songs of your choice correctly. Wan't to get into making and playing music on the cheap then just go for it, plug it into your computer and off you go! One of the best buying decisions I have made ever, now excuse me while I vanish back down that music production wormhole, trying to recreate that bass synth sound from bedsitter.

Excellent for the money. As a music producer, this is ideal. The 49 keys feel very good, semi weighted. The pitch bend and modulation wheel also very good. Useful fader, and another excellent feature is there's no need for a separate power supply, which is especially useful to simply connecting iPhone or Ipad (this keyboard uses less than 100mA.) Nektar is a good and honest company for selling a product like this at such a competitive price. There’s software too, but I have already have my favourite DAW. In a perfect world there would be some more faders or rotary to map midi controls. Other than that, this is no doubt the best midi keyboard for the money. I also have a Novation MK3 which has 25 mini keys and requires separate power supply, yet that had plenty of dials, drum pads, and a TRS midi type A out... anyway, the 49 Key Nektar keyboard exceeded my expectations since it arrived today. Highly recommended

Great keyboard! Ready to use straight out of the box. I like the useful transpose button as well a very cool feature!

I am using this keyboard with CUBASIS and AURIA/ GARAGEBAND, I am not a keyboard player but the quality of this keyboard is very good. USB powered nice playing action for me anyway very lightweight I recommend this keyboard and I am very happy so far. 5stars

Good value keyboard marred by a key dip of 14mm. My Kawaii, Yamaha and Casio keyboard are 12mm and typically a grand piano is 10.5mm.

Excellent item. Works with software straight out of the box. No power supply needed. Cable included and the keys feel fine. All round a good item to start with.

I was in the market for a very basic, no-frills, lightweight keyboard controller in the $100 price range and initially chose a competing brand because it seemed very popular on Amazon. The keyboard itself was okay, especially for the price, but the keys weren't very good: cheap plastic and very wobbly. I asked Google AI if there was another option with a better keybed in this price range, and it suggested the Nektar SE-49. I was skeptical that the keys would be any better, especially since the Nektar is actually less expensive than the competition. However, I couldn’t have been more pleased or impressed. The Nektar SE-49’s keybed is noticeably better than the first one I ordered—more solid, slightly quieter, and with a more “premium” feel—and all at a lower price. In my opinion, the SE-49 also looks nicer and more contemporary in its design. The keyboard was sold and shipped by Sweetwater Sound, whom I also want to acknowledge for their fast shipping and excellent packing. Don’t waste your time buying and returning an inferior product. The SE-49 is fantastic and, in my opinion, your best possible choice.

Tastiera midi controller. Non presenta tasti pesati ma al tocco sono comunque "pesanti". Usato con reaper e vari plugin. Funziona tutto bene, compresi i tasti di selezione della trasposizione e delle ottave. Non prodotto professionale. non credo possa reggere molto i live. Facile connessione alla scheda wudio avendo solo un cavo USB da connettere. Siamo quasi al livello plug and play. Cmq oggetto divertente e che fa quello che deve.

Reviewing after 1 week of full-on usage, I have found no issues rather I love this keyboard, it has everything I need as a go-to MIDI keyboard. This is my first-ever MIDI purchase and I am satisfied with the product. Go for it if you want a 49-key MIDI keyboard with basic onboard functions.

lo compre hace tiempo,buen precio,perfecto si te inicias en la producción midi y eres novato como yo,tienes que mirar en la web del fabricante para cambiar sensibilidad de las teclas,un teclado sencillo,viene con un cable usb para conectar,llevo ya bastante con el y sin problemas,lo peor quizás para mi las teclas aveces resbaladizas.(cuaidado con los tacos de goma que soportan el teclado por abajo,se despegan,me paso,y los pege algunos)
