CableJive dockXtender Premium, 60 cm (ca. 2 feet) Extension Cable for iPhones and iPads with Fast-Charge Charging Indicator for PD/PowerDelivery

I was nervous about ordering this cable, it's a lot cheaper than the Apple equivalent, and about mid-range cost compared to others. I read the reviews to make sure it would work for charging as well as audio output. On some of the cheap cables, they either would allow audio output but not charge, or charge but not allow audio output - but this cable does everything it's supposed to do. CableJive makes very good products, and this one was less expensive than others they sell. Please note that I have only tested this on the original iPad, but I'm sure it would work fine on the iPad 2, iPhone, iPod Touch and so on. If you are looking for a fairly inexpenive dock extension cable, and want it to function just like the Apple cable, this is the one for you. The only negative I can think of is it does not plug in quite as smoothly as the Apple USB cable, this cable is a little resistant, but this is no problem at all, you just do it carefully. I imagine this will get better over time as the plug wears in a little.

This cable had all good reviews so I ordered it hoping it would solve my problem. My IPod cable in my new Mini Cooper did not attach to my IPhone 4 with either my bumper case or the Spec case. I had to remove the case and then it would often become disconnected. I also wanted more length to be able to put my phone in the glove box.Good news bad news. While the cable works fine with the IPhone 4 without a case, the plastic part of the connector on this cable would not fit either case. It was too big. The IPhone 4 and many cases have a very much smaller access for the connector. If you are carefull, however, and have access to a belt sander you can do this. Tape up the metal connector to protect it, and VERY carefully taper the end of the white plastic. I did this and now it fits even with the cases on. If ONLY someone made a cable that fit the smaller dimensions of the Iphone4 and cases.

It works - what else is there to say. I purchased this mostly for the ipad keyboard, but it is very useful for connecting an ipad/ipod to other docks. One note - on the package they say "it does not support component video, S video output, or input for recording audio". One other note - the plastic cover of the "male" end is thicker than the Apple-supplied sync cable. This is not a problem for me, because my Ipad case exposes the entire bottom of the ipad.

I bought the cable to use with a Logitech Ipod speaker model 57151 and an Ipad and Ipod 6th Gen. Works very well and allows the Ipod to be remotely operated. And my Ipad work great with the speaker system also. The cable construction is good quality and the connection to the Ipod-Ipad locks inplace just squeeze the edges to release.

Seems like a nice quality cable. Spent more for this one to use my Ipad with my Sony MHC mini stereo system with Ipod dock. Works fine, but does not indicate a charge. However, I have since learned that this does charge the ipad - it just does not show that it is charging! Works great.

I wasn't sure that it would work sending the audio signal to my Peachtree iDecco, but it does. I have a few apps on the iPad 2 that can't easily be installed on my old iPod Touch, so I thought I'd give this a try. It works just fine sending the signal to the iDecco's DAC.The iPad puts up the "not currently charging" note when I hook it up this way, but I'm almost positive that it charges too. Or maybe it just doesn't use any additional battery power when configured like this. In any case, this cable completely meets my needs.

I've been using this dock extender at work for about a month now, with my iphone 4 (in its Otterbox case) and Logitech 715i speaker system. It worked great right out of the box. In fact, I'm looking at purchasing another set of speakers and extender for at home use. Thanks for an easy fix to my docking problem!

The doc extender cable was exactly what I was looking for. I have an XM Dock in my car for satellite radio that I typically use with my iPhone. After purchasing the iPad, I thought it would be pretty cool to see if I could use it with the XM Dock. Rather than modifying the XM Dock, I decided to buy the extender to connect to the iPad. Now my iPad acts as an in car entertainment system for my family on long trips. Now we can use the satellite radio, the iPod, watch movies, etc all while the iPad charges.
