This Lie Will Kill You Kindle Edition

I liked it actually. It was better writing than the past several YA novels. I guessed the “twist” but I thought it was very satisfying. I wasn’t let down. I cared about almost everyone.

Lured in under the ruse of a murder-mystery party, five students must face up to their lies surrounding a deadly party the year before. This book gave me all the CLUE vibes. It checked pretty much all of my boxes, so while it was a fun read, I found myself wanting to like it more than I actually did. The plot and setting gave me the perfect eerie, suspenseful, can't read this right before bed feeling, but it fell a little flat on the characters for me. They all served their purpose by occupying their respective high school stereotype but felt a little one-dimensional and left you feeling a bit indifferent about their fate.

I’m honestly surprised I finished this book. I kept expecting for it to get better but it didn’t. The writing was too prosaic; the villain was identifiable early on; the characters were unlikeable.

I swear there was three major plot twists I didn’t see coming at all. Plus, many more in between that were just as important. Great book and kept me on my toes. Makes you want to read the next chapter until the book is done. Would recommend to a friend.

This was a gift for teen

I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery, suspense, drama & a really twisty tale. It sucked me in on page one and didn't let go. Great!

The book was pretty good and had lists of surprising plot twists. It definitely want the easiest read but it wasn't a bad book at all.
