Great trays for the ice fanatic
I am a bit of an ice fiend. I tend to go through a lot of ice, to the tune of about 3.5 pounds of ice a day. If ice is floating in my drink, it means I don't have enough ice in it! I decided I could maybe mitigate the $20+ dollars a month I spend on bags of ice with some large ice cubes. After reading *far* too many reviews I ordered two sets of these - one in the 2", and one in the 2.25" size. Both have been exceptional, with no odor/color/particulates in the ice. I soaked all of the trays in water for about an hour, then rinsed thoroughly (all sides) before using for the first time. It's cut my ice usage down from two bags of ice a week to one (since I still need some small bagged ice cubes to "fill in the gaps" in a large glass), which means these trays should pay for themselves in six months or less (including the cost for buying filtered water to make the ice).Tips:Instead of bending the trays frantically, pounding on them, running water on them, or any other such antics, I've found the best way to remove the ice is to simply place the trays on the counter twenty minutes before you plan to use the ice. They will melt *just* enough to facilitate easy removal. After I remove one cube, I put the rest in the fridge, not the freezer - they will *very* slowly melt, but will remain easy to remove for the rest of the evening. Even with my admittedly excessive ice consumption, I've found all four trays will last me all night, with usually a few cubes left over.Odd:In the "rate features" portion of the review (you'll know what I mean if you've ever left a product review on this site), they asked me to rate "Easy to remove", "Warmth", and "Sheerness" - Easy to remove is logical and self-explanatory, but I have no idea what either "Warmth" or "Sheerness" mean in relation to ice cube trays.

Good price, well made product, very easy to use, seem very durable too.
Was skeptical. Have purchased other big/round ice cube trays before and they were such a pain to use I eventually stopped using them. Tried this one based After reading a few positive reviews. They were right. It’s well made, sturdy but pliable silicone and very easy to fill. After frozen, surprisingly easy to push out the cubes probably because the silicone is thick enough to hold shape but bendy enough to be manipulated easily to eject the frozen cube. Two per package gives me 8 huge cubes that are well formed and relatively clear too. (Not foggy like others I have tried). I’ve been using for a few months now and impressed by their reliability and they still look brand new. I would buy two more but don’t have the freezer room and besides, they freeze surprisingly quickly and they are so easy to empty that I just put the finished cubes in a bag, make some more and always have about a dozen cubes ready to go.

These are HUGE!!!!
Silly me, didn’t pay attention to the size.. when they arrived, thought it was a joke! Using them anyways.Pros-1) Keeps your beverage cold for longer periods of time.Cons~1) quite Hard to get the ice cubes out of the silicone, (its a fight)2) takes an hour longer to make the ice cubes than normal sizes.3) doesn’t fit in all cups (Huge Cubes)

White powdery residue
I noticed after using a few cubes in my cocktails that after a few minutes I could see little bits of something white floating on the surface of my drink. It was also somewhat filmy. When I used my other ice molds I wouldn’t get the same issue.I’m not sure what that stuff is. I have a water softener in my home with a 3 stage reverse osmosis system that I use to fill my whiskey ice cubes. And even with that I got this nasty white particles. When I washed them they got worse. You can see the white powdery stuff attached to the product in my photos. Hard water spots are just that, spots. This stuff is stopping out of the product. I wish I knew what it was but I would not recommend these to anyone. The novelty of a huge ice cube is fun but there may be better ways of accomplishing that without this product.

Huge ice cubes. The only problem I had is to buy glasses that this monster ice cubes fit in but I did found some in World Market. If you want them for your scotch or rum or cognac just get the smaller one or round one. Trust me, you will have a hard time finding drinking glasses

Huge cubes. Really awesome for whiskey, but...
Do the job, its different, has a good price. I recommend it. BUY it. You will like it. BUT...You need to know that the ice cube will not be really a square (i will try to send a picture later). When you put the water in it, and it freezes, the bottom part becomes bigger (it is hard to explain in words, sorry). My point is: The upper part frezzes first so the "ice cube" expands the bottom part. The final ice cube will be bigger than 2,5 inch.

Make great cubes but need scrubbed after every use. Questionable white powder leeching out?
These make nicely sized large square ice cubes. No complaints with that. My main concern is that every time I use these to make ice, there is white powdery residue on the inside of the mold that needs scrubbed off after every use. This doesnt happen on my other silicone ice molds... Not sure if this is toxic or what.
