AoshimaBLMC G/HM4 MG-B MK-2 ’68 1:24 Scale Model Kit

I got this to build for my dad who owns an MG-B. It's slightly different than his actual car, but it was really easy to put together, the instructions were clear to follow even with the language barrier, and the finished product looks great!

Good quality model / parts. Chinese/English directions OK (pictures good but not many written instructions). I would buy another from this company.

Nicely cast model with photo etched small details. My only criticism is that like many Japanese car models, you can't open the hood to see the engine. It generally goes together well but test fit as you go. Locations of some parts are vague, I looked at photos of actual cars to help.

Most of the instructions were in Chinese but I worked my way through that. There were a few small parts that the tab connecting them to the mold ring that the tab was bigger than the piece. Extra care needed to be taken with these parts. The final project turned out OK, but it was a bit expensive for the product.

Nice little kit for low cost price.

Thought it was a die cast metal car,turns out it's a million tiny piece cheap plastic model.

I am patiently savoring the anticipation of building this kit. Assembly will not be rushed. The production quality of the parts make it worth doing right, and every moment will be enjoyed.

再販物ですが、パッケージリニューアルと共にMK-Ⅲ(ウレタンバンパー/後期型)には専用ホイールが追加されています。MK-Ⅱ(メッキバンパー/前期型)にも組立て可能なので、内容物ではMK-Ⅲがオススメです。本商品内装部品はMK-Ⅱと共通なので、MK-Ⅲといえど完全にMK-Ⅲにはなりません。ダッシュボードには前期、中期2種、後期と４パターンあるとか、シートにヘッドレストが無いとか、そしたらトノカバーも形状違うやんとか、MK-Ⅲは左ハンドルがよかったとか、MK-Ⅲはワイパー３本やろとか、MK-Ⅱ,Ⅲともサイドミラーが純正とちゃうやんけとか、MK-Ⅲにセンターロックのワイヤーホイールはそのまま換装できんぞとか言い始めるとキリが無いですね。ハードトップはラリー仕様版に付属しています。再販ありがとうございます。もちろん3種とも２個ずつ買いました。あとはクラブレーシング版の再販をお願いしたい次第であります。

アオシマのカーモデルのプラモデルは初めて組みましたが組み易くて驚きました。ボディはパーティングラインもバリも無かったです。窓ガラスのマスキングシールとエンブレムのエッチングパーツ、アルミのナンバープレートが嬉しかったです。

適度に大雑把で、でも緻密なところもしっかりあるのが良い。例えばエッチングパーツやデカールなどは秀逸。オープンカーでのシリーズ化を希望。

MG-B　MK-2、MK-3共に購入しました。MK-2の方は既にレビューがついていますので、MK-3についてのレビューを少し。再販にもかかわらず部品は非常にきれいです。金型があまりへたっていないか、メンテナンスを行ったか何れにしても好印象です。部品点数もそう多くないですし、はめ合いも良好です。ただMK-3に比べるとフロントグリルの表現はあっさりしすぎています。メッシュの部分もう少し何とかやりようはなかったのかなぁ・・・。あと少し面倒なのはホイールの塗り分け。MK-2用のスポークホイールを使いたくなりますが、両方を購入したからには使い分けるのが吉でしょう。また、フロントウィンドウの縁、シルバー一色ではありません。ボックスアートを参考につや消しブラックと塗り分けます。エッチングパーツがついていますが接着が面倒なのでインレットマークにしてもらった方が有り難かったですね。塗装は好みの問題でしょうがボディ色ブリティッシュグリーン、内装色フラットレッド、インパネやシフトノブ、ステアリング外周などはウッドブラウンで仕上げてみました。幌はフラットブラック。ちなみにMK-2の方はボディ色メタリックレッド、内装色フラットホワイト、インパネその他ウッドブラウン。幌はデッキタン。この時代の車は実車がどうこういうよりも自分自身の好みを優先させて作るのも楽しいですよ。
