Make time
A great addition to any watch book collection. Beautifully photographed and curated. Ideally find a copy of Drive Time by the same author.Highly recommended!

A history of the luxury dive watch
Fine entry and the first book I am aware of that covers the most popular type of watch, at least in the United States, the diver. Odd that no one had written a book just about sea watches before (it's a great idea), although there are many good books available already that do include dive watches and their cousins. This is a beautiful book with many well known and some obscure models beautifully photographed and discussed. The author also wrote "Drive Time" so I hope he will continue with "Air Time" and perhaps even "Field Time" and/or "Military Time". I would like to mention a few famous and overlooked models not covered or featured in this book's eclectic selection: The Jaeger LeCoultre Memovox Diver was one of the first models to feature an alarm function, but was not featured. The Vulcain Cricket Nautical included decompression tables on the watch itself, but was not featured. Likewise the Zenith Rainbow, a cult favorite for many, was conspicuous in its absence. Bell and Ross made a dive watch called the Hydromax that was filled with silicone that reportedly could go to the deepest spot on the planet at 11100 meters, but was also not covered. Obviously not all models can be included, but plenty are included at the expense of more historically important models as I've mentioned. Quick trivia question. What dive watch did Hooper wear in "Jaws"? Answer: The Alsta Nautoscaph made in Switzerland.

A perfect companion to Drive Time
"Sea Time" is the second volume in this superb collection from Rizzoli. Accessible, informative and stylish, this weighty tome is an essential addition to any watch lover's bookshelf. Whilst not comprehensive, the book covers all the essential bases.
