I purchased this battery for a replacement in my Macbook Air.The battry was shipped well, arriving in a large box with the battery well placed in another box. Note that screw drivers were not included (although you can easily purchase tools through other various vendors). The installation was very easy. So long as a user has attention to detail and is willing to work slowly, they will be fine.I purchased this battery in hopes that it would resolve the issue that I was experiencing with my Macbook Air (the machine would turn on for a short time but power off with no warning; also when the charger was plugged in, the adapter just showed green indicating that the battery was likely fully charged). After installation, my Mac would not charge the battery. I since determined that there was further problems with the logic board and returned the battery.All in all, I was unable to test the longevity of the battery but rather am rating the battery at 5 stars due to the attention to detail and the visual quality of the product.

Generally speaking this is an easier repair than most. A bunch of screws that are easy to turn with the screw drivers included, and one connector. Took all of two minutes. Battery showd right mah and no prior charge cycles, mine needed to be charged before use. Havent yet figured out how long it lasts to compare to oem but its a big difference from under an hour my old spent one was doing.The missing star is over packaging and instructions. There are no instructions printed, probably because apple doesnt let them do so. None the less, even a description of number of screws and their locations would help.

I was incredibly impressed with the battery and tools the battery came with. This was a breeze to install on my Macbook Air (first time installing one). My macbook feels like a brand new computer now that it has a much better battery in it. I get a super long battery life with this one (6+ hours with full use). For the price I would definitely recommend this battery. BRTONG was even kind enough to reach out to me via email to see how the battery was performing, you don't get that very often with online retailers.

This battery is a good replacement for MacBook Air. It works nicely and gives the MacBook Air a new life. If you have an old battery that needs a service get it. It fits perfectly, and most importantly, it is easy to do it on your own. But Make sure they sent you the screwdriver and the screws. Without-them you cannot install it. Or use it at all. I got it from a person who give me with a screw driver. Before I got it useless without it.

After a few mos, it has about 2.5hr life, writing and surfing, with little video. about the same as the 4 yr old battery it replaced. The original gave me more like 5 hr. When I need to replace this I will go OEM.It is not an upgrade. If you just need a battery to replace ont that has completely failed, it will do that at a fairer price.

I needed a battery for a while, and I kept putting it off because of the cost of a new battery from Apple. I read all the reviews, both good and bad and in light of everyone's comments concerning the helpfulness of the customer support I decided it was worth giving them a shot. The battery simply did not work for me. This battery replaces a variety of battery types. Hence, the battery uses a firmware to present itself to the device as the correct battery type (in my case an A1405 battery for an A1365, mid 2011 MacBook Air 13"). While this worked, I could not get it to either discharge as suggested by the instructions or charge beyond 30%. Trying to discharge resulted in the machine shut down once it hit 26% and trying to charge concluded at 30% (device stopped charging). I have changed batteries before and I tried the SMC reset to get it to work, but nothing helped. I've never struggled to get a battery to work as much as I did with this one. My advice; spend $20-$30 more and get another battery.

The battery works fine, but one of the screw drivers provided for the installation broke and I was forced to go to a local computer repair shop and borrow one of their screw drivers to complete the installation.
