Mr. Steam103588DIG Programmable Timer for Towel Warmer, White

This switch is nothing but a manual switch with a clock. Impossible to get it into the mode to allow the on/off times to be programmed!By the time the contractor was finished with the remodel, it was too late to return it.#FAIL

This was purchased as a replacement for the originally installed timer, which failed after about 18 months. It functions well and is reasonably easy to set. It does not actually change between daylight and standard time, so you will probably want to reset the clock twice a year. Fortunately, that is relatively easy to do. So the timer seems fit for purpose, except possibly for its lifetime. So far, this new one has lasted 10 months. I'm hoping for the best.

The letters (just "off/on" are so small, I can't read it. Not perticullarly bright either. I think I'm spoiled by newer led screens, and this reminds me why everyone updated their screens. The switch is easy to feel you tripped it manually. That saves the device, though my husband thinks it's flimsy and will need replacing.

Product description shows a "Mr. Steam" branded timer. I received a cheaper standard "Intermatic" wall timer that is used for lights. I thought a "Mr. Steam" timer would be heavy duty, specifically designed for heated towel bars, but it is not. Intermatic wall timers are significantly cheaper. I will return and give this seller an "F" because they do not deliver what they represent.

Easy to install for even a novice! I replaced the existing switch / timer in about 20 minutes and it works!

This unit worked great after it was installed by an electrician. After a month. I had to reset it every few days. I am going to call Mr. Steam to see if they will replace it.

I got this timer to replace one that was damaged in roof leak. Easy to install 4 wires as I just followed existing one. Keeps towel warmer on at requested times

This is a nice to have and needed if you install a towel warmer. You can set it or simply turn on or off at will.
