This is an AMAZING idea.... i love everything about it.... unfortunately while using it in my car, the cable dropped into my floor pan, and i suppose we have iron dense sand.... it hasn't been the same yet... while it does still connect and charge..... it doesn't have the same secure connection that it did the first day, and occasionally needs to be adjusted to ensure charging connectivity.GREAT concept.... almost perfect execution.

I purchased three of these cables direct from Volta. Two have now died. After going through multiple messages with tech support and sending them multiple videos of what happened. They finally admitted that the cable cannot handle the power from the standard 87W power brick that comes with the 15" MacBook Pro. Since this is the reason I purchased the cables, this is pretty disappointing to say the least. You can purchase the 61W power brick from Apple and Volta says the cable will work fine. But it's false advertising in my opinion to say this cable is compatible with the 2018 MacBook Pro without supporting the standard adapter.

Great product. USB-C with MagSafe like feature.

I bought mine through the Kickstarter project, then got an extra later after I thought I lost a tip. And that's the problem; the tips can easily come out with the cable if you're not careful or, if they're loose, come out on their own without another source. And if you drop your phone, you also risk damaging them, as what happened to one of mine as well, as the coating protecting the connection appears to be easily damaged rubber. It still works, but I have to force the connection.But other than that, they're strong magnets, and they charge as they should. I just wish they had universal cables that would take all tips AND be able to charge as they need, because carrying around two cables gets real old. Especially after the update to the old cable that just rendered the one I bought useless.
