Product arrived damaged
The magnifier itself isn't broken, but the case it sits in looks like someone threw it at a wall before it was sent it to me. Disappointed

i wasn't sure, and bought this last.. wish i had bought it first.
before buying this i bought a 60X-100X microscope, I was concerned 30x would not be enough. i still find the microscope useful, but it has the drawback of requiring a steady surface because it has a very small viewing area.this loupe allows me to check trichomes, but i find I need to turn the led light off to see the 'true color' of a trich, this is not a product problem, trichs naturally reflect most of the light (causing trich heads to appear bright white when they are clear, cloudy or amber.)The viewing range on the 60X lens isn't spectacular, i have to put the loupe against my face and against my plant for an effective experience. again, I don't blame the product.i find the LED light useful for stepping around in the dark, as well. a secondary use for those of you with zero-light grow rooms. it's not so bright as to interrupt plant photoperiod cycle, but it's enough to not accidentally trample plants in your garden.

Great for plants/ insects
This loupe is well worth the money. Made out of a metal (aluminum) frame. Great buy. Very clear view on both the 30x / 60x magnification.

When I received the loupe one light was blown out on it.
I wasn't satisfied with the product.

Works but handle very gently, bought 1 month ago, fell apart, still works but light fading
Deserves a 4 if it hadn't come apart, not 5 star as the 60X tiny lense is not real handy, it seems to be standard size available but seems way too small over all to be reasonable.. Looking for closer to 1 inch or larger 60X magnifying glass, bought a nice large 2.5 inch 30X mag glass many years ago.. still have a 2 inch 30X loupe with cover attached too.. still looking for any decent sized 60X, may have to consider microscope style with led display more than 4 times and up more expensive but also magnifies 60x to 120x or more.Maybe see if you can tighten the hinge pin screw before it falls apart, if there is one, on the swivel cover hinge pin. Came with nice case that has the battery replacement tool inside. Bought Locally - it works. but can't reassemble the cover and pin.. must be missing end screw. so tiny.. BUT.. the light is fading, how did it run low on power so fast, you can leave it on but I didn't for more than an hour at a time while using it on 7 different days and beware just because the cover spins 360, look real close at hinge pin to see how it is secured.. that is what fell out and when the loupe fell to floor the small lense popped apart, was able to put the 3 tiny lenses back together 1st lense then tiny black plastic o-ring seperator, 2nd lense, black plastic sleeve seperator, 3rd lense then final white plastic retainer ring that holds it all in. turns out it comes apart fairly easy if you press the lens from lighted side, the 30x lense retainer ring has to be turned to release like the battery cover.. . currently it turns on bright enough for a minute then fades, will pick up batteries.. cheap enough
