Cyberlink Media Suite 12 Ultra

the program works well for me during the six months since I purchased it ;except for the downloading of social media & youtube sites: it does not work for getting a youtube video downloaded and running as a stand-alone video.Apparently you need the NEXT version, MediaSuite 13 Ultimate, with the latest Power2Go 10, which promises to help you do this.That's what I hate about these products: six months later they're already outdated and they want you to pay $70 for an upgrade to the next version. This happens every year and it's a never-ending cycle of paying for updates.Other software companies simply allow you to update their programs without cost, but not Cyberlink.That's why I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 4.

This is a tough review. Some parts of the suite are very easy to learn (Media Show) and produce a great video or slideshow...other areas seem far to complicated (photo director). Overall, a quite nice product

You'd think by looking at the name ULTRA it would be the top versions of each separate piece of the software suite, you would be WRONG! These are the bare bones versions with reduced features. If you want the full featured version you have to pay ALOT more. Cyberlink will say the have the version comparisons on their site, they do....hidden away and purposely misleading as to which version you'll actually get! Buyer beware.As Per Cyberlink"Regarding your concern, I would like to inform you that the Media Suite software is a bundled version software, In which some features may not be accessible, They are only available in the individual software purchase. When you try to access those features which is not applicable in the bundled version, you will get the popup to upgrade.Note: CyberLink Media Suite 12 doesn't support windows 10."

Very good program. The abundance of tutorials on YouTube certainly helps you get into it.

It does what I wanted to do. It has many features I don't use.

Product does not work for me. I obtained it bundled with a blu-ray player. Cyberlink repeatedly shuts down during movies saying that I do not have a HDCP compliant setup. I have an HDCP Dell 4K monitor connected via display port. My setup is perfectly HDCP compliant according to their BD Advisor program (see attached jpg). The product does work with some older Blu-ray disks, but not with the newer ones.
