This is probably their best 'all a round' glass that can be used for ...
The Strahl Vivaldi 14oz. Large Tumbler has to be their most definitive drinking glass as far as quality, design and functionality. This is probably their best 'all a round' glass that can be used for any kind of drink or desert you can imagine using it for. The 14oz. tumbler is the 'MUST HAVE' piece of your Strahl collection. It is also the best 'Starter' piece for someone who is skeptical about whether or not polycarbonate glasses are the best choice to go with in buying new glassware. This one glass will change a skeptic into becoming a total believer that Strahl glasses are everything that they claim to be, and they are the finest polycarbonate glasses on the market. I have been a 'believer' for a long time and I wouldn't trade them for anything else on the market. I have come to the point when it comes to every day glassware, I don't even look at if it is not made by Strahl. I started out with the 14oz. tumbler years ago in my other house in Mississippi, and bought just about all of the other sets. Now I have a new set here in Texas and I know that they will last just as long as my other set has back home. I suffer from ‘Hard Water’ which create mineral deposits that can make my glasses ‘cloudy’ at both houses, and I’ll tell you how to get rid of them below. It’s perfectly safe, it’s cheap, and it’s easy to do.The Basics:-FDA APPROVED and unbreakable materials. Safe for children and adults.-The 14oz. Vivaldi tumbler is exactly five and one half inches tall, and three inches wide from measuring from the outside rim to the opposite outside rim at the top of the glass.-All Vivaldi glasses have the distinctive 'dimpled' feet that allow for perfect drainage when the glass is in the dishwasher or in the drain rack next to the sink.-The curved or 'dimpled' feet allow for your little finger to naturally slide in between them which helps support the glass and keep you from dropping it when the glass is in your hands. I can't stress enough how wonderful these glasses feel in your hand.-The bottom of the inside of the glass is 'bowl shaped' so you never get food particles stuck in the crevice in the bottom of the glass like you can if the inside of the glass is flat.-Strahl even sells single replacement glasses in case someone walks off with one of your glasses after a party. This has happened to me in the past.-You can also add a glass or two with the replacement glasses to even enlarge the set if you want to. That's a nice point in itself in case you want a set of eight instead of six, in this case. You don't need to buy two sets of six to get the eight glasses that you only need or want.-Strahl glasses are a 'long term' investment for you and your family. Some people claim that they are too expensive for plastic glasses. On the other hand, if well cared for, when you start out with a set of six, in twenty years time or so, you'll still have a set of six. I know this from personal experience.Earlier in my review I talked about ‘Hard Water’ deposits and how I get rid of them. I suffer from ‘Hard Water’ disease no matter where I go, it seems. Awhile back I started taking my glasses every four to six months and giving them a hot water and white vinegar bath with a touch of baking soda. This get’s rid of the build up of mineral deposits and the build up of harsh chemicals in dishwasher liquid or powder. Even if you don’t have hard water, you can still have this problem. Here’s what I do:-Fill a sink or dishpan with very, very hot water. The HOTTER the better.-Add two cups of white vinegar to the hot water-Add one tablespoon of Baking Soda and mix. The solution with bubble up, but don’t worry, it won’t hurt a thing.-I place the glasses in the dishpan and let them soak for about thirty minutes, or more depending on bad the build up is.-After the pre-soak in the vinegar bath, I rinse the glasses out and place them back in the dishpan with a mild dishwashing liquid like Dove or Ivory Dishwashing Liquid. I wash them thoroughly and rinse them and place them in the drain board to dry. After this, I wipe off the excess with a micro fiber towel. That’s all there is too it! This process also works on your silverware and other things that you wash that get this kind of deposits when you have hard water. The Strahl Vivaldi glassware line is without a doubt, the most beautiful polycarbonate glasses that I have ever seen. The finish is superlative and resembles the look you get with fine lead crystal. I put one of these glasses along side of an antique genuine Waterford lead crystal tumbler, and they had the same deep luster and visual appeal. Once you have ice or a cold liquid in the Strahl tumblers it feels just like glass in your hands and against your lips.As far as the Strahl 14 ounce large tumblers are concerned, These are absolutely beautiful glasses and I would HIGHLY recommend them to ANYONE that want's the look of fine crystal on their table without facing the possibilities of ever breaking one.I hope my review helps and I have reviewed several other Strahl Vivaldi glasses here on Amazon if you want to see them too. Thanks for reading my review! Leyland( I paid full price for my glasses and I do not work for the Strahl company or sell Strahl glassware)

These are durable
These are durable but do not put them on the tines in a dishwasher or wash with a scrub pad as they will scratch easily. But apart from those cautions, we have had them for many years with daily use.

Love These Tumblers!
Perfect small drinking tumblers! I had acquired some tea glasses like these from my mother, but those are cloudy from the area water and the dishwasher soap, I assume. I don't know where she got them but she'd had them a long time. I wanted some smaller ones but didn't want to spend that much money if they would get cloudy. I eventually decided to bite the bullet and purchased these. We've been using them for just over a month now, and they're still as clear and pretty as they were when I got them. I will say, though, that we have a whole house water system because the area water is awful, so I can't say that we'd have the same outcome without the water system. The rims are perfectly smooth with no rough spots and the tumblers are comfortable to hold. I plan to purchase a replacement set for the tea glasses next!

Very handsome, glass like appearance.
These are very well made, attractive poly glasses. Very attractive and after several months still have crystal clear, glass like appearance. Well worth the money vs other poly glassware that can fade.

look of glass, ABS-like durability
We had a set of these purchased almost 20 years ago which finally began to develop cracks around the rim. These new ones are exactly the same as our previous set. Based on appearance and design, expect them to last a long, long time. Recommend as drink glasses that look sufficiently dressy without the fragility of glass.

Non breakable drink ware
These are wonderful glasses for families and others. They feel nice in hand, are good looking due to bottom design. They are fine in dishwasher...I have had a set for over five years and they got daily use. These were a gift for a family who loved ours. They do not stack however, if that is important.

Nice, but way overpriced
They're nice, but not $80 nice. They're plastic. I got them on clearance for about $20, and I wouldn't value them much higher than that because they're not glass.
