Lupine Lighting Piko TL 'Tool-Free' Special Handlebar Mount

The Lupine Piko TL is not really designed as a bicycle light, but certainly bright enough to do duty as one - brighter than my current Cygolight and almost as bright as my ill-fated Niterider HID light. The "Tool-free" mount is a clever idea and the attachment to the bike seems secure. Not so sure about the connection of the lamp to the mount - I fear it could work loose or, being a bit fiddly to get the screw started, be not properly attached. A typical bike light has the power cable providing some additional security. I have a shoelace attached to my flashlight, and hook that around the handlebar so if the light does become detached it cannot fall to the ground. Overall a fantastic flashlight and a clever bike mount that allows it an additional function, both coming at a rather high price!

Had a lupine piko tl for a while now, and was postponing getting the mount for it due to the price which is a bit high for a light mount. Then finally I decided to get it, and now I'm asking myself why I didn't get it earlier...great craftmanship- it's a lupine after all, excellent quality. The light stays put, no matter where I'm taking the bike ( no front suspension mind you), plus the two included rubber bands give me multiple options for mounting. I have no idea what a reviewer was talked Ng about when he said that the light moved...maybe he used the wrong size rubber band for it, or he just doesn't know how to mount a light on the bike. One advice, I'd you have a bike and a lupine piko, get this mount.

These elastic bands aren't up to holding the Piko TL light. Every bump I hit, even on fairly good pavement on my full suspension bike, has the light pointing straight down. Nevermind riding a trail.A disappointing mis-match with the amazing light head.
