Rig Keeper - Dropper Rig System

Just what I needed!!

This is fantastic. It holds several dropper rigs securely. I go overboard buying a ton of fly fishing gadgets that are completely uneccesary but this is one gadget that has been very very useful. It saves me a ton of time on the river.

This unit does work for storing prebuilt fly rigs. It is convenient to attach anywhere with the included loop but the screw on lock can be a challenge with wet or cold hands. (just don't remove it)The smaller size is both a win for ease of use as it attaches anywhere but a con in that longer leaders and flys have to be wrapped many times. You have to do this carefully to prevent kinking the leader. Also, you can use the entire pad for leaders but it can tangle. Better to use a few leaders if they are longer than 3 ft.

I have several Smith Creek products that I like very much. This one did not disappoint. It provides a nice way to store dry dropper and George Harvey rigs.

At may age and with my eyesight I used have to get out of the water and sit down some where with by 300X readers tfor about a half hours to change our a 18 -22 dropper rigs, This works well and keep me in the stream fishing the best rig much longer that before.

My partner loves this very simple but genius addition to his fishing gear. Flies are organized and at the ready when your hands are full.

It is good. But it is expensive.

It works very well but too expensive and not very large. I was able to store 4 sets of pre made nymphs with dropper. Again, works great but pricy.

Great for pre-tying dropper rigs.
