Hmmm....
It's a good book. The problem is it has a ton of small mistakes and typos that the author's editors missed. If you've read the other two books and want to know what happens I'd say go for it but if you haven't read any I'd say stay away if you're easily angered by mistakes in a book.

Slightly Disappointing
As a fan of the first two books, I was pretty disappointed by the way this story played out. In many parts it felt as though the writer was grasping at straws. The book not only overexplains because it assumes its audience is not smart enough to put pieces together, it also has crazy explanations for things in order to have them make sense. Not only that but key characters are missing for more than half the book and you are being introduced to numerous new ones. Since this is the third book it really takes away from the engagement of the story and I found myself wanting to skip ahead. Eden definitely has some incredibly interesting and political ideas, but it is overshadowed by the disengagement. Also, many times the book takes the easy way out instead of tying up loose ends. You will definitely see this play out throughout the story. Also, character arcs get reused in a way that just seems overdone and already visited. It goes over what we already know and what we have already seen to an extent that the plot became predictable and boring when it should have been exhilarating. Don’t get me wrong, I am very pleasantly surprised by the hard hitting thoughts and ideologies surrounding moral obligations, government, and freedom, but that is what makes this book so disappointing. It had everywhere to go- it could have been incredibly good, but it just didn’t live up to the expectations it set for itself. I’m super sad because I was really invested in the story, but it really let me down.

I’m extremely picky with the books that I read, and this series is one of my all time favorites. Joey went from being my favorite YouTuber and idol to being my favorite author as well. His writing is absolutely incredible, and I’m so in love with the world of Eden he has created. I 100% recommend this series for anyone and everyone (my Twitter is @sorryimhali )

Brilliant dystopian series
Was hooked from first page of the first book. Similar to other books in few ways, eg Divergent and Hunger Games but unique. Ending unexpected. Recommending it to my grandchildren. Yes I am an elderly lady who loves young adult series like this.
