Review: A bit fiddly but it did the job - This is my first spy camera. I needed one to see if I could find out who was removing promotional materials from outside my business (within a building). There was a bit of a learning curve to understand how this camera worked and how to set it up for my situation. It's small size is great for being able to place it unnoticed, but in terms of using it, that makes it difficult for anyone who is far sighted and older (the buttons are very small, as is the SIM card). But it was worth the bit of practice it took to try out all the modes. It's worth noting that the SIM card can feel like it's stuck the first time you put it in. I used tweezers to remove it, then noticed there was a tiny ridge on the backside which you are obviously meant to hook your nail under to pull it out. Every time after that it was easy. It captured the footage I needed. The video was very clear so identifying the individual was easy. Uploading the videos to my laptop was also straightforward. I would say there were three elements that may be stumbling blocks for a lot of people with this camera: 1. Size of buttons - because of how tiny and basic the camera is, the functions are set by pressing the buttons in different sequences. I wrote out my own chart that made it easy to refer to and follow. Use a pen, or some kind of slender pointer to press the buttons if you don't have childlike hands with long nails. 2. It's not obvious if the SIM card is inserted correctly and removing it can be tricky. Check where the contacts are inside the slot so it's clear which way up it has to go in. Push it in all the way. To remove it, feel on the backside (non-contact side) for the ridge about 1/4-1/8" in. Hook your nail against it and the card will remove easily. 3. Setting the time and date for the time stamp is not intuitive and looks like it doesn't work the first time. It creates a new file. Trust the instructions. It does work. All in all, I think this is a great little spy camera for the price.
Review: Seller Clearly Doesn't Know Own Product - I needed this camera to be continuously plugged in so I made sure the product description and answered questions said as much. I get it in, ran a test on batter power alone and though I have found a small little jewel of a device....until I plugged it in that is. The instructions isn't that hard, tells you what lights blink upon pressing certain buttons indicating what mode it's in. However, the instructions for "Continuous Use While Charging" is NOT accurate. When you plug the cam into a PC or wall charger, the LED light is supposed to turn a solid red and then go through the normal prompts for various input commands. The LED is a slow blinking red indicating it is charging. It will not let you do anything while it's charging. I even reset the cam using the little tool it came with. Nothing. This is a seller who clearly does not know their own product. I will be returning this and looking for something else. It's kinda infuriating to see sellers like this on the desertcart store, and I see this a lot.

**Q: Does it record sounds?**
A: Thank you for your question. Yes, the FoxEye does record video and audio. The hardware and default audio file specs are: Audio System - Built-in microphone/speaker (AAC). If you have trouble playing/hearing the audio for a video you have recorded, you may have to: 

-Covert the audio data to a format compatible with your audio player. 
-Download an audio player that can play or auto-convert AAC type audio data. 
-Download an update or AAC codec extension to your current media player. You can normally find this at the application's website.

Actually, we are located in the United States. I am sorry you feel I am "idiotic", and apologize to the customer. Let me clarify. As you have stated, the MAXIMUM supported memory is 32GB, but you can operate it with one as small as 2GB (recommended minimum). As for the size discrepancy, SD cards actually come in various sizes. The older "standard size" sd card will not fit in this unit. There are adapters for micro-sd cards to fit in the older larger slot commonly found on cameras and laptops, albeit older, but still very much in circulation. I am sure you are aware of this JT-Rev6. This port was recently removed from most Apple laptops and other devices, thus it is an important variable for those considering purchasing this so they can determine if they have the correct sd card or if they need to purchase one. Thus the difference between the memory size, or capacity rather, and the size of the actual physical card is where the miscommunication occurred. **Q: If connected via usb, will it act as a webcam? i need an ir webcam that isn't cloud based.**
A: No, The FoxEye does not function as a web camera and is primarily used for video and audio recording.  While we are sure there are some clever ways out there to configure it to do so, possibly along with some software, etc., we recommend purchasing a mini camera from Amazon with web camera or "IP" capabilities. **Q: Does this camera work in cold temperatures?**
A: Generally, batteries of all types tend to perform poorly in cold temperatures. Lithium ion batteries (and others) can charge improperly or not at all and sometimes cannot function or supply power to the device. The temperatures that this can occur will vary depending on the battery. For the FoxEye, especially given the size of the battery, we cannot and DO NOT recommend this unit if you plan on operating in cold temperatures. While the FoxEye can function in cold weather, we cannot guarantee it will meet your expectations in this arena. We recommend a higher end mini camera and/or one that specifically is suited for cold temperatures. Stay Clever!
