Smell Amazing
This is my at least my 6th product (not count my many repeats of the lip balms) from Beard and Lady. Just like the other items I love this product. It is very refreshing and smells amazing. Keep up the Great work!

Gloriously indulgent
This is how products with integrity are made. Pure, wholesome ingredients with full disclosures. No proprietary 'parfum' or 'fragrance' with hidden ingredients under a trade secret label: olive based squalene, camellia seed oil (tea, not flower), jojoba seed oil, fractionated coconut oil, blue tansy oil (sometimes referred to as chamomile but technically not), jasmine sambac extract, non-GMO vitamin E. I am in heaven! My very favorite variety of jasmine is sambac, and I love blue tansy oil for it's healing properties and its natural ethereal blue color. Both natural blue tansy and jasmine oils are expensive in pure extract form. I have worked with both and can smell the purity here. It's sweet and floral, almost bubblegum like and soft, but rich and indulgent. For a face oil, it's not thick or overly oily. It's light, moisturizing, and dewy and feels fresh on the skin. Every single ingredient here has a beneficial property for the skin and is not just for fragrance or emulsification or preserving. I love natural, functional beauty products like this, especially when packaged in a convenient roll-on applicator bottle like this! The box design looks old-school vintage, along with the angle-cut glass bottle. I love this vibe.I much prefer this type of product than high tech advanced lab made cosmetics that are unnatural and potentially harmful. Highly recommend!

Natural perfume
This is a highly scented and decadent oil that has the singular power to transport you into a distant castle of bygone days as some honored and spoiled royalty. The packaging and label-less glass bottle is quaintly archaic, like it was purchased in 1902 by some woman of elite class. And of course, the color is ethereal and magical without having to rely on artificial colorants. The scent is strong and long-lasting. Definitely don't do what I did and apply this oil while eating dinner. It's a heavily floral scent that is beautiful but will take your appetite away as it doesn't mix well with chili beans hahaha. Its predominant scent is Jasmine blossoms, not like fake chemical Jasmine perfume, but actual blossoms which can be quite strong. The blue tansy softens the sharpness of the Jasmine just slightly while providing a lingering background scent that is sweeter and more candy-like.There are no added synthetic fragrances or perfumes in this and the natural scent oils are suspended in a carrier of olive oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, with vitamin e as a preservative.A little goes a long way, just like a high end perfume, and while this can be used to moisturize pinpointed spots on the face, I wouldn't use it all over the face. I would use it more as a scented oil behind the ears, etc.Note: I am sensitive to chemical/synthetic perfumes and would never use or recommend them. This is highly scented but does not create any negative symptoms in me like headache, mood swings, etc, that a synthetic fragrance would. I trust that it's actually from pure plant extracts, while strong, and thus can recommend it as a perfume that won't adversely affect most people.

Potent Jasmine Aroma
In terms of texture and viscosity, there seem to be two types of facial oils on the market – thin “dry” oils that absorb completely vs. traditional oils that are more occlusive and tend to sit on top of the skin. This one definitely falls into the latter category. While I generally prefer a lightweight oil (and I certainly wouldn’t use this as a daytime moisturizer), this does a nice job of layering over my essence/toner before bed and it leaves my face feeling fresh and dewy in the morning. The one issue a lot of people will have with this is the fragrance. This has blue tansy and jasmine, both of which have strong, recognizable scent profiles. The jasmine is particularly pungent. If you’re familiar with Lush’s Lust perfume, then you’ll know exactly what this smells like. I personally love aromatic skincare products but this is way too potent, even for me. I’ve opted to use it on my cuticles, knees and elbows just because it seems too much like I’m putting perfume on my face.I honestly hope that caveat doesn’t put anyone off buying this or other Beard & Lady products though, because I checked out their website and they seem super cool. It’s an artisanal unisex personal care products company that, at first blush, looks like something straight out of Williamsburg NY or Portland OR. But this couple is the real deal. Everything that bearded Brooklyn hipster or Pacific Northwestern yogini aspires to, these two are. Their “Corporate HQ” is a farmhouse in rural North Carolina. If you enjoy trying out unique beauty products and want to spend more of your hard-earned dollars on American made goods, this seems like a good place to start.
